Does anyone know of any good articles written about the popularity of snooker in China? There must be some out there.

I just found a shitty one where they copy pasted Ronnie's name from wikipedia

>Ronnie Antonio O'Sullivan, professional snooker player, said, "I think maybe in five or ten years', in this tournament, in the top 16 players you will see twelve of them are Chinese players. I truly believe that. I think they will dominate snooker."
>>
How broken is McAnus' spirit now lads?
>>
McManus gone full tartan.

This will be a swift session

>Hold on! Has it got the legs? Has it got the legs?!

it's not even on course for the pocket Jon you spaz
>>
you'd think snooker players would've worked out a better break off really. it seems that most of the time they leave a pot on which can easily cost them the frame
>>
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Century_break
>The most century breaks in a single game by both players is eight, and was achieved for the first time in the 1999 World Championship semi-final between Hendry and O'Sullivan (four each).[61] It was equalled by Hendry and Peter Ebdon during the 2002 final. This record was tied again by O'Sullivan and Barry Hawkins in the final of the 2013 World Snooker Championship.[62]
This can surely be beaten don't you think?
>>
>>67192569
Thanks lad.
>>
>>67192619
And Ding can do better than this:
>Only Selby and O'Sullivan have compiled six centuries each in a single World Championship match at the Crucible Theatre.[56] Selby set the record in a second round match at the 2011 World Championship,[58] which was also a record for a best-of-25 match.[59] O'Sullivan tied it when he compiled six centuries during the final of the 2013 Championship, setting a record for a world final at the Crucible; the record for a final previously stood at five, jointly held by Hendry (in 1997), John Higgins (1998) and Matthew Stevens (2000).[60]
>>
>>67192610
I think it's common courtesy to do it like that. If you start min maxing the break off, you don't get much of a game. It's very easy to do a shot that doesn't give your opponent anything to work with, but if he does the same, yeah, you get it.
>>
Alan "Angles" McManus
>>
Hell of a shot to pocket that red by Shia LaBoeuf's dad.
>>
I know it's kind of old news now but what did you lads think about that whole "Snooker should have Darts' atmosphere" thing?

Would you want darts-esque drunken cheering during your snooks or are you happy with the strict quietness that we currently have?
>>
>>67192764
the cancer that will destroy the game. I like darts but it is it's own thing.
>>
>>67192764
All that yelling and shouting is not befitting for a gentleman's game.
>>
>>67192764
I like darts, but snooker is a different thing. Having one tournament like the Shootout is enjoyable, because it's nice for players to have a more relaxed tournament for a change, but that's enough. I could also do without the bimbos, that was cringy as fuck.
>>
What was Hearn's "big" announcement anyway?

Snooker Shoot-out is replace the Masters in the Triple Crown?
>>
>>67192812

>>
>>67192764
Darts is not a mind game like Snooker, so shouting out would disrupt the players focus.

With darts there is alot of room for error and much less so with snooker, totally different game
>>
>>67192858
That was glorious
>>
>>67192873
You'd think you'd need to concentrate in darts though, trying to consistently get those little arrows into those little spaces seems tough. It has its roots in the pub I suppose, where there's always noise. Snooker has its history in more a quiet environment and surroundings.
>>
>>67192930
Maybe, but when the player is acutally taking the shot, the crowed isn't as rowdy and the player has 3 attempts to hit the target.
