Was to two baseball games last month.
A's. Stadium more than half empty, they run commercials on top volume during innings, and gave away awards for free public transport to hyped audience. We had cheapest seats available. Bunch of hispanics and trash around. Fairly good atmosphere despite that. Chants going around, some drumms, people stayed for whole game.
Then we went to see a supposedly a team with best fans, best stadium and best atmosphere, the Giants. Better tickets, next to opponents bullpen. People were getting into the stadium well into 4th inning, and then started leaving as soon as their team got down 3-0 after sixth. Gurls before me chatted whole match, left in 8th. Bunch of bros behind me chatted whole match, entered in 2nd and left in 6th. Couple of real fans, came before me and stayed whole match, made fun of relievers warming up in bullpen, but were in vast minority.
