We need to be looking to hit over 80 points with some sort of regularity to really challenge for the title in this league. We've only done that once since 2005. We're very consistent at getting the kind of points tally that secures you 3rd or 4th but we're badly struggling to push beyond that under Wenger.

Get rid of the man who focused ALL of the club's divisions on himself, and when he leaves you'll realize your outdated academy produces no real talent and was heavily reliant on Wonga, your scouting department was heavily reliant on Wonga's opinion for everything, you need to appoint a Director of Football because the club was heavily reliant on Wonga playing the market, you need a coaching staff revamp because the old staff was heavily reliant on Wonga (not to mention the ones that quit with him), etc etc
Manure still hasn't filled the void Ferguson left and their every department is still outdated in every single way compared to $hitty and the top clubs. The same will happen to Arsenal. For the players there was little to buy into with Moyes. Arsenal players will be more welcoming of a new manager because he might be able to improve them, except for maybe those who have grown too comfortable under Wenger, but they shouldnt be at the club regardless.

You're missing the point just like him. It's not a matter of signing a new manager or le sign all the players meem. The problems created when Wonga goes will run much deeper than the shitty squad he leaves behind or what will the new manager do.
It's a matter of relying on one man, an anachronic manager from a simpler era of football where managers did everything by themselves. When that person goes, it finally catches up with you that your club simply isn't equipped to do several heavily specialized tasks which are required of modern football, because Wonga simply oversaw them all, like Fergie oversaw them all, and as a consequence several of the club's departments are heavily outdated.
Once again look at Manure. Ferguson left and they simply weren't equipped to deal with it. The lack of a Director of Football with an overall strategy for the club (because Fergie did everything) meant that Moyes was expected to be an all-in-one manager like Fergie was, so he went and renewed renewed Pooney's contract for 300k/week (when rumors suggest Fergie was hesitant to do so). The Scouting department being so reliant on Fergie meant United only signed one player, Fellaini, under >Moyes because Fergie took a lot of the knowledge of United's scouting database with him inside his own head, so their hands were tied for that summer. The lack of a modern academy where youth players have access to modern training methods and facilities means that the last world-class players made at Manure was the Class of 92, while across town City is opening a $500m super academy luring prospects from all over the world and your own former players have their kids enrolling there.
When one of those long-term managers who started working on the club 20 years ago retires, there's just so much shit, so many departments, so much of the club's very structure that needs to be updated, rehired, revised and rethought, it's way more complex than just apponting a new manager.

Our scouting department is shit and we barely ever make signings anyway. I'd argue that a new manager could revitalise that with his knowledge of another league. When Wenger first came in he knew about the likes of Vieira (signing made with his rec), Anelka, Henry, Pires, Petite etc. People bemoan the fact that Arsenal can't find these gems of players anymore but a lot of that is to do with the fact that Wenger no longer has exclusive knowledge. Again a lot of united's failings in the transfer market can be attributed to Gill's departure. Under Fergie they weren't signing that many great players anyway. In his last year he signed RVP (obvious), Kagawa (barely played under fergie), Powell (lol) and Zaha (double lol). The only advantage Wenger brings to transfers is his reputation, but that is rapidly deteriorating while younger managers who we could sign are on the up in terms of reputation.

Walcott has regressed since sign da thing and many other clubs were actually interested in him. Welbeck was only signed as Wenger buried his head in Brazilian sand on transfer deadline day.
