OP, are the changes in your pic effective for this season, or is it something in the works?

Heh, probably the under.
>>
Crew are focusing on getting Higuain up the right side and crossing into the box.
>>
>>67048579
Um.... the club permanently changed to the logo on the right. In 2014.

Challenge accepted.
>>
>>67048715
So I don't keep track of other clubs' logo/name changes. No biggie, right? It's good to know going forward, anyway.
>>
Deric gets a red card; I'm not sure it was warranted. Joe Willis in.
>>
We gamethreads now, eh lads?
>>
My tv feed went out. What did Deric do to get a red?
>>
>>67048768
>I don't keep track of logos
No one's saying you should regularly Google every team name for the newest swag, but if you follow the league it's one of the things you just notice, like "there's no longer such a thing as the Charlotte Bobcats," or, "Peyton Manning quit to harass women full time."

That first logo looks like from a gay porn site.

It's a brave new world.
>>
>>67048889

It sounds good to me, though.
>>
>>67048886
Yes.

But there are no gay people in Ohio so they didn't notice for a couple years.

It's like how there were no gay people in America in the 1980s, and then you watch "Top Gun" in 2016 and you're like, "WHAAAAT"
>>

How recently did literally every MLS thread get shouted down, like it was a WNBA general?

Progress is good, lads. Embrace the future.

Did you forget the part where God Hates Ohio?

Based on MLS history I thought that was New England?

Man, the Crew can't seem to stay onside for their attacks. That's good for the Dynamo.

Simple stuff

It's officially "Columbus Crew SC" so that they can keep up with the fascinating Euro tradition of "City Name (Sport) Club" which is so universally beloved by uneducated europoors with no imagination.

It's because if you live in Bongton and you're driving around town and see Bongton Football Club, you know exactly what it is. You know it's not the cricket club, or the rugby club, or anything else. If you see Bongton Bingers, you don't have any idea.

The main difference between our teams and yours is that ours start as small clubs that grow to be multi-million dollar businesses.
Your teams, in every sport, are "franchises" which is such a soulless word to begin with. They start as multimillion dollar investments from billionaires looking to make money, and who don't care about the sport at all.
It's why I find the fact the MLS is copying European soccer so stupid, especially shit like "Real Salt Lake". Typical soulless corporate attempts of trying to copy a good thing.

Stop thinking about food, get the thesaurus out of your mouth, and ask your question normally.

That's what I think, too. And considering the diving call on the other Crew player earlier tonight, I wonder if he's been giving out pointers on how to dive.

>>
>>67050784
>How do you understand or assimilate foreign investments
Such a vague question.
My post has nothing to do with foreign investments.
The point I was making was that Euro team names are often in the format City FC because they originate as small football clubs with the goal of playing football, and American teams (MLS and other sports) have stupid names because they originate as corporate franchises with the goal of making money.

>>67050965
>Emirates is a sponsor, therefore my point is invalid.
My rebuttal to that is sponsored by Bud Light! The perfect beer for right now.
If you're saying that because there are sponsors and foreign money coming in, my point is invalid, you need to learn to read.
That does not invalidate the fact that our teams start small and grow, rather than start large and stagnate.
>muh
Oh wait, you said "muh" so I must be wrong.
>>
>>67051177
you're pretending like your sports teams aren't owned by investment companies and that the sport is not about making money
>>
>>67051177
>My post has nothing to do with foreign investments

It's hardly vague, and like I said, my post had nothing to with foreign investments either. I was just questioning your autisric critique of the word 'digest'
>>
Do Columbus fans not know more than 1 or 2 chants? I've been hearing the same stuff from them on TV the whole game.

>>
>>67051297
I'm doing nothing of the sort.
>originate
As I said, ours start as small clubs, yours do not.
Your teams are created in offices somewhere with the home that fans will follow, which in many cases they do not.
Ours start small, grow and then gain investment as the fanbase and success increases.

If you want to tell me a team like FC United of Manchester, a team that was created in protest of foreign investment (from an American no less), doesn't care about football and only cares about making money, go ahead.
But I know that everyone involved in the creation of any of your "expansion franchises" only cares about making money.

>>67051363
Was a vague question to me, didn't know what he was asking. But I did forget you weren't the original poster, my bad.

Game ogre.

Dynamo lose 0-1.

That didn't take long.
