What went wrong with this team

That team didn't scare anyone. This image was probably created by a teenager who didn't see that team play together.
Because:
>no more Rivaldo
>Ronaldo had already pretty much semi-retired by then
>Adriano and Ronaldinho both decided to become lazy cunts earlier that year
Poor Kaka had to carry the attack by himself
>>67013645
They got old/damaged

that team was insanely good. Obviously it didn't turn out to be true at the WC, but just look at those 4 in great shape, not to mention R. Carlos, Cafu.
>>67013807
>implying
Chango you had the best attackers by far for about two decades.
>>67013645
do you mean that spe
cific team or the brazilian national team? If you mean the national team
they try to play muh bootiful attractive fluid fun football and focus on beating your man 1 on 1 either as an attacker with a trick or a defender with a 1 time challenge in an era where discipline, workrate, team defending, and organization has taken over and provided the best results.
>>67015423
>4 in great shape
Ronaldo had fucked knees & Adriano couldnt control his weight due to drug use
A shame that even Mexico is better than Bra71l now.
Bundas
A lot of them
>>67015574
Lol you're not
>>67013645
I have a theory for the decline of the Brazilian striker: in the last 20 years Brazilian football has focused exclusively on producing inexpensive mid-range talent to sell to the European market, to the point where today their entire league and thus their national team is flooded with athletic “volante mixtos” or box-to-box midfielders who have adequate defensive skills, yet superior ball-technique (they are Brazilian, after all). We have seen world-class wingers come out of Brazil, as they have always, and a handful of solid center backs, but not a single decent striker bar a year or two of Adriano. Thoughts?
lol those 4 players had a peak of 2-3 seasons and nothing more
>>67015754
>brasilians unrionically believe this
can the mighty fall even lower?!
>>67015254
rewatch the 2006 world cup.
that game you mention is the exception that proves the rule.
>tfw in 2005~2006 we had Parreira as coach.
and we had no one better than him.
hell, we were even worse back then
Ronaldinho was an overrated system babby.
Kaká injured his foot.
Adriano and Ronaldo were both fat.
brazil still has the greatest talent pool in the world by a large margin.

America has it actually. They just prefer to play manly sports.
They used to play with more freedom and passion.
