How can I properly assess which bets warrant a bigger stake and which should be staked small? If I only filter by small stakes I'd be quite profitable, it's just that my mediums and larges tend to lose a lot, so I'm either unlucky or my stake sizing is just plain wrong (which is more likely). Should I avoid bets where I identify a team as a clear favorite, because the games are usually a lot closer than I assumed they would be? Should I just try to flat stake for some time? Genuinely trying to become better, but I'm doubting myself, because I feel like I'm generally making the right decisions but ultimately end up losing money.

Yeah that's exactly the issue though, I tend to be too confident in the bets I stake bigger and not confident enough in the ones i stake small. Sometimes that's because I feel lilke odds are too good to be true (so I think I'm missing information) or because a league seems rather unpredictable. In recent times every bet I've been really confident in has lost or was super sweaty so I really see no point in staking them larger anymore. Then again I see the issue that I might be missing out on value in the future if I don't bet larger on these games.
