yeah, several years ago, got a few lucky draws on the way there and then got pumped by liverpool in the end
trying to use mostly slovenians is kind of limiting when year after year the country produces no good defensive players
>>
>>66864862
Told you you wouldn't like to see what the db says about Slovenian regens. It's hard codded. You're in 2026, I think it's time you accept to recruit players from other countries much more extensively or your save is not gonna go anywhere. If you want to concentrate on youth you would sign affiliate youth deals, promote your clubs into other countries, get first option deals and that shit instead. But if you like your save like that, who am I to judge.
>>
>>66864934
>It's hard codded
That theory seems a bit fishy to me
>>
>This is close to full potential for a 20yo 160PA player
I must say I'm disappointed. It's not that he isn't good per say obviously. I hope it's because my club hasn't Real MAD tier facilities and coaching.
>>
>>66864959
Well it's not a way to say that you're never gonna get great regens in Slovenia. It can happen, so get 100% world knowledge. What it means is that generally speaking, the youth rating of Slovenia is very low, so you're not going to get good CL/EL tier regens consistently... even if your club happens to be the best club in the world with top tier facilities, coaching and recruitment. It's not game breaking, far from it, but it's one of the limitations of the game.

>>66865065
It's not a Slovenian thing, it's just that different countries have different youth ratings, economic factors and game importance. As >>66865086
pointed out, you can have an odd world beating player being born in Slovenia or in Kurdistan or some shit. They don't evolve too much if at all through the course of the game, so depending of where you coach, it's probably a good idea to get ties with foreign clubs for youth setups, buy their players or have some of their players getting into your club through the youth intake, raise them and have them get the nationality of your club.

>>66865086
>I get plenty of good players, it's just that they're all attacking mids
As usual kek. But as I've said, get a more expansive youth setup, especially in foreign countries. At least you don't have to register players in Slovenia so them not having a Slovenian/EU passport isn't too problematic if you rotate your squad enough.

It's not too hard in Yugoslavia, but I've barely played in my actual stadium so I dunno what would be the ticket price cost. I don't want the board to build a new stadium just yet: I think you can build a new one after 25 years or something so it's a no-no while the club is still growing. Instead I just ask the board to expand the current one even if the expansion is too small for the fan influx or European rules and costs a lot of money.

We'll see I suppose. It's fine so far but for some weird reason Dinamo, which always choked at some point is doing a very solid performance in the league, so it's kinda looking like a Barca vs. Real situation. I'm in the 1st knock outs of CL and I'm playing Hoffenheim, who are 4th in Bundesliga. It's not easy but affordable. I'm also sucking Humam's delicious mane of hair so that him or his agent don't put a shitty release clause in his contract, which is the only thing preventing me from extending his contract. It's not a given; I had another player fire his agent but still had the release clause in there. So I hope I'll get past Hoff' to improve the club's reputation enough to keep my players without a release clause that clubs like Juve, Buyern, Real and countless others could pay with their pocket change.

I have such low patience that if I was stuck like you are, I would probably kill the save beforehand. Even if I'm where I am only because of two marvellous blooters. Better get in the knock outs of CL next year, the money is vastly better for less effort.

naw. I use that shit for games we're second favourite in, I make sure the 2 amcs are hard workers, and tell them to specific-mark opposing fullbacks to screw up their passing. it's an extremely negative formation, I don't know how it would translate to a more attacking strategy, probably not well

>I have such low patience that if I was stuck like you are, I would probably kill the save beforehand.

Actually yes. I was afraid of carrying two players, but it didn't mean much in the end: AP didn't work, AM (A) didn't have the movement I seek to combine with CF (A) or (S) and AM(S) does nothing besides redirecting the ball, SS is better in terms of activity but not that great otherwise in creating or concluding chances. I'm not stuck on these but it works so far and you do need great players in these positions.

Is UTV here? I heard he posts here. I have something interesting I think he needs to see. We all know his feelings regarding black people and non-whites in general so I took it upon myself to calculate the contribution of non whites to Villa getting relegated. As you can see I have compiled a monthly breakdown that shows a total of negative 12 goals over the course of the season from non-whites, even counting Costa and Can as white.

Let us observe some notable months.

>August
The season started with non whites actually contributing positively. All 4 of Villas PL goals were scored by non-whites. This may have hurt UTV, but he was probably able to pretend that because it was summer, that the blacks scoring were just tanned white players, so a good month for UTV overall

>December
Another good month for non-whites. UTV may have been dreaming of a white christmas but he didn't get one. However Villa still failed to win this month confirming UTV's theory that blacks are all flash and 'air jordans' and nothing more.

>February
A terrible month for Villa and even worse for UTV. 6 goals conceded to Liverpool and 6 in the month to non-whites with 4 in that game alone (plus one from Can).

I wonder how UTV feels knowing that if only he was brave enough to genocide blacks like he so often discussed, Villa might have stayed up?

Do you think he feels responsible?

The thing is that for some reason I can't ask my board to improve the youth recruitment. I had the option once in 3 or 4 years while I could improve the stadium and the facilities every year. I guess the game doesn't like clubs growing that fast; not realistic enough for Miles while it's very common in FM land because it's just a game after all.

>>

>>66874722
The fun thing is that regardless of that, very few clubs come with an offer matching or bigger than the release clause. I've been able to reject offers from big clubs who had more than enough money to match the clause without discussion and give them a better contract a year later or so. Also, it gives you the possibility to sneak in a 50% of next transfer. Since you're "forced" to accept the offer, that clause goes through like hot knife through butter.

Obviously won't help with ManCity who can waste 100s of millions on one player but keep it in mind. And that's also because you haven't qualified for the knock outs of CL consistently in TEN FUCKING YEARS YOU FUCKING SCRUB.

Seems it's not enough. Gotta also improve the league's rating. The reason that clause is there (especially for foreign clubs only) is mostly because "wanna play in a better league boss". Which means give money to Maribor pl0x. But it's mostly that: you need a better league and better reputation. That's why even Maribor can't attract anything but washed up players: they're unlikely to want to leave. For youth players, it's much harder to keep them still unless your club is amazing.

I guess that's fair. not maribor specifically, they've gone to shit and regularly finish outside of european places, but it's worth a shot for domzale and olimpija
I tried doing that when I was managing nitra in fm13 and the AI clubs criminally misused the money, but I suppose some misguided and wasteful signings are better than nothing

This is a pretty toxic league isn't it?

PSG just beat Caen 6-0. Their dominance is going to make the league less appealing to international viewers I imagine, and for PSG the challenge is gone and the only important games in their season will be the Champions League knockout phase

How do we fix this?
>>
>>66875629
We dont.
>>
>>66875629
Make other clubs actually care about European competitions. Ligue 1 is filled with laziness and unambitious faggots. "Better draw than play for the win"; "playing 2 matches per week is too tiring", "the priority is the league", "EL gives us too many long travels", etc. In Spain, you may have the two same teams dominating but the others still actually care about the other cups.
>>
>>66875475

>>
>>66875629
>is going to make the league less appealing to international viewers

>>66875744
Italy has the same problem. Teams only care about the league/CL. You had teams like Udinese qualifying for the EL and then getting embarrassed because who the fuck cares about that comp (Germans and Spaniards do)

>>
>>66875744
It's even worse in the Premier League (re: Europa League), as they have to play a ton of extra games and Premier League generates way more income than Europa League (which is kind of crazy). I would imagine for some French teams there would at least be some appeal to qualify for Europe (Belgian teams genuinely want to play in the Europa League)

But regardless the Europa League is a hugely flawed competition and way too long and it needs revamping because teams suffer way too much domestically from playing in Europa League. Especially countries that also have 2 domestic cups

Probably talking about Ronaldo I presume. WC '98 and Jacquet's tactics were a fucking eyesore. The only things people can remember is the final and possibly the semis we had no business winning. The rest was fucking awful defensive football, it had disastrous effects on our formation system where every club started mass producing big, fast, strong players who can't actually play football at the detriment of actual football players because they were too small/frail (Ribéry, Griezmann, Valbuena...). Victory is always what matters, but watching France's '98 team is an eyesore.

Best way to test would be to give some club that isn't bound by FFP a spot in top rep competition, their city massively attractive, make their rep huge and their leagues rep huge and give them tons of money and a manager that likes to spend and see if they try and splurge like 200mill on Messi or something.

I dunno. I've seen all the teams hit a wall at $69.5 million.

As in Bayern will offer me $69M for a player, and I'll counter offer at $70M and they'll immediately withdraw. At one point, to test it, PSG offered me $69M for a player, and I countered with $69M and 5% of next profit and they immediately withdrew. No counters, nothing. PSG, Bayern, Monaco, AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all offered me $69M for players over the last five seasons, and every counter over that is an immediate rejection, no matter who the player is or who the team is.

This is FM14, though.

There is probably a limit calculated by a bunch of factors (buying teams finances, FFP, length of contract, player ability, buying managers personality, selling teams rep, players rep, players age and probably a bunch of other things I'm not thinking of) but assuming you fucked with all of that in the editor to build the GOATest of GOATs with a rep and so on to match it I bet you could squeeze a team for a ridiculous sum.
