If it weren't for that initial 6 month period in 2012 when Cissé scored in every game he would surely go down as one of Newcastle's worst ever signings. His first touch, passing, dribbling, composure, finishing, positional sense and knowledge of the offside rule are comparable to that of a child. Within 4 seconds of coming on Aleksandar Mitrovic accomplished more than Cisse did in the entire game; he controlled the ball and completed a 5 yard pass to a team mate.
Since 2012/13 Cisse has a scored a goal every 4.25 games, to put that into perspective Shola Ameobi scored a goal every 5 games and when you consider that the overwhelming majority of Ameobi's appearances were as a substitute in 10-15 minute cameo roles whilst Cisse has been a regular starter for Newcastle it becomes even more ridiculous.
Cisse should just be put down, it's jsut cruel keeping him alive at this point

Rafa stuck with Sissoko and Townsend out wide when he came in too. The difference now is that Mitrovic actually runs forward. Harry Kane isn't the quickest either, you still see him running through the middle (and he doesn't have Mitrovic's strength to hold off defenders)
