Weed is legal in a number of states with NFL teams. They should just take it off the banned substances list.
Plus if you take it off less guys will go out drinking. Also less pills.
If the player gets arrested for possession in a non-legal state they should give him a 2 game or 4 game suspension but nothing more. (Penalty merely for breaking the law)

The NFL shouldn't enforce anything besides PEDs. If a player does something illegal, let the law punish them. The NFL should only enforce rules if they affect the game. It shouldn't be moral police. Josh Gordon was by far the most exciting player on the Browns for the 2 years he was active. Does anyone in Cleveland care that he smokes weed? No. They want to watch him play football. The NFL needs to get its head out of its ass.
