First of all, the series was never tied at 2, back then first rounds were best of 5 series and the Bulls won 3-1.
Second of all, when it was tied at 1 the Hornets had no chance of winning game 3 in Chicago. They were down by double digits at half time and got blown out by 23.
Third of all, it wasn't a mean thing Jordan said that ruined him, it was a knee injury he got at the start of next season that caused him to miss all but 6 games of the season. He also posted a career high in FG% after that season
