The reason Leicester are winning the league is because the TV money has bulked up all the mid table clubs to the point where everyone is taking points off each other and the big clubs can't sign the very best players that could push them over the edge since they're all busy flocking to Bayern, Madrid or Barca. Chelsea's big summer signing was a Barcelona cast off and fucking Stoke have picked up 2. The gulf in quality between a Shaqiri and Jaun Mata really isn't that deep so the big boys can't roll over the stragglers like they used to. The lowest number of points to win a PL is 75 and it wouldn't be entirely surprising to see Leicester finish with something like 77-79. Pep, Mourinho and Conte all entering the frame will probably reassert the balance in favour of the big clubs but I think this is the start of a seismic shift where teams will no longer dominate the league for quite a few years and a team like Spurs or West Ham creep into a top 4 space each year. Bayern, Madrid and Barca are a tier above any club in England right now. I can accept this. I will never accept that shite like Eibar, Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano would hold up to the challenge of Everton, Stoke, Southampton or even Bournemouth. This is why people say the EPL is the most competitive whilst obviously not having the same outstanding quality at the very top like during the Ferguson years.
