One of the best regular season QBs of all-time
Pretty average post-season QB

Overall, and most importantly, better than Tom Brady on any All-Time List.

He'll be remembered as one of the greats, the best line of scrimmage professor, and one of the best minds the game will have ever seen.

Unfortunately, the accolades he achieved will be overshadowed by the fact he only has 2 rings. He'll kind of be demoted to Dan Marino tier (God like talent, all time great, but terrible post season career) at worst, or stuck in the tier where the rest of the qbs who only got one or two owls.

He'd be #3 on my list of all time greats, well ahead of system babies like Brady and Young. As far as impact on the game goes? Manning revolutionized the way the quarterback position was played for a few good years.

Glad to see him retire on top.

kek... did you see him play this year? This team doesn't come close to the owl with even a good defense.

He did practically nothing in the final two games.

Autistic Pats fans will remember him as a choker.

Everyone else will remember him as the Unitas of the modern era. Revolutionizing the game and bringing it to a higher level and ending that boring "line up the full back in the I and hand it to the running back 35 times a game."

And yet, all pundits will say in 5 years time is "The Peyton Manning lead Broncos, with their all time great defense...."

This
With Peyton you can point to many games and say "Peyton won that" "Peyton lost that" "Peyton played outwordly" etc..

Peyton is and will always be memorable

Tom is one of those players that has had it made for him . He was drafted to a already contending team with a proven coach and even more so staff. The best scouts in all of football + the best coach ever? No shit you'll succeed which is what makes Peyton a rare breed of actually coming in with nothing but a talented WR and a mediorce defense all around and worse a bad staff from coaching to training except the QB coach.

It's sad in my opinion because patriots don't have the best scouts in football anymore since 2014 so the team is going to be built differently in the coming years which will seriously test bill's skill in building a team and as a life long pats fan I know damn well bill can not draft for SHIT but with all that said Tom would actually have to be adjusted under this new scheme which will be overshadowed by the fact that he is aging and we all know age will catch up to you unless you're Green .

Tldr; Peyton =hard work +actual team building > gifted everything
>>
>>66668740

>>
>>66668740
>Tom is one of those players that has had it made for him

No.

199th overall pick that was 6th string in Michigan and eventually beat Alabama in the Orange bowl in college. Outplayed Drew Bledsoe in his second year in the NFL and led the team to a super bowl and capped it off with a historic game winning drive and SB MVP award. All in his first year playing. He went on to win 3 more super bowls and 2 more MVP awards.

Manning throws game away https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTqXyxvTh0c

Brady wins them.

Manning has had it made for him. Even though he was still a choker even in college, he still was the number one pick and had everything made for him because muh daddy's conncections. And when he sexually assaults someone its muh daddy conncections

Brady would not be where he is if it was not for his insane work ethic and drive to win. There is a reason he is the most decorated player in the NFL. It's not because of Bellichick, who had an awful record before Brady came along. Bellichick has even said that Brady is the GOAT.

Peyton Manning is simply the most overrated QB ever. He was a regular season stat padder that beat up on expansion teams his entire career. Brady is the GOAT, unquestionably.

Why are Bradyfags so edgy? You don't see other teams fans go through this absolutely relentless crusade to tear down an all time great to make their respective player look better in comparison.

Super bowl ones

3 to 5 INT ratio. 77.4 passer rating. Only SB win against a Grossman led Bears. 1 time MVP

It just goes on and on

John Madden

"Lawrence Taylor, defensively, has had as big an impact as any player I've ever seen. He changed the way defense is played, the way pass-rushing is played, the way linebackers play and the way offenses block linebackers."

"Washington Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs developed the two tight end offense and the position of h-back to prevent Taylor from blitzing into the backfield unhindered."We had to try in some way have a special game plan just for Lawrence Taylor. Now you didn't do that very often in this league but I think he's one person that we learned the lesson the hard way. We lost ball games."His skills changed the way offensive coaches blocked linebackers. In the late '70s and early '80s, a blitzing linebacker was picked up by a running back. However, these players were no match for Taylor. The tactic employed by San Francisco 49ers head coach Bill Walsh in the 1982 playoffs, using an offensive guard to block Taylor, was copied around the league. However, this left a hole in pass protection that a blitzing middle linebacker could exploit. Later, Walsh and other coaches began using offensive tackles to block Taylor. Later it became common for offensive linemen to pick up blitzing linebackers. In addition to the changes in offensive schemes Taylor influenced, he also introduced new defensive techniques to the game such as chopping the ball out of the quarterback's hands rather than tackling him"

So what exactly has Brady done to impact the game in a manner like this?

Only way Brady gets respect is if he goes to another team like the Browns and wins an Owl with them or at least take them to the Championship. Otherwise he's the quintessential system baby.

Problem is his tendons in Manning's feet where liquidifed so along with no arm strength, he couldn't get a push off from his feet to add power to his throws. Manning was running on a fumes for the entire season and he still managed to outplay Brady in the playoffs.

>Outperforms Manning
Yeah, give Manning the best TE in the league and see how things go.

>Brady won as many as manning has been too
>Brady threw more touchdowns in his last owl then Manning has in 4
That damn belichick system giving him better stats with worse receivers
Also
>penalizing a player for being loyal

Won 4 Super Bowls went to 6. Had the only undefeated regular season.

What has Peyton won!

Literally had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne 2 HOF receivers his entire career. Went to Denver with a stacked offense with DT and Sanders.

Brady has won Super Bowls with Troy ducking brown as his number 1. Brady's number 1 most days wouldn't even be manning number 3 wr.

He has won 3 bowls without gronk. Let's not forget that gronk gets injured a lot too so it's less than 4 seasons he's had gronk whereas manning had had Harrison, Wayne , DT, and sanders.
