So,which sports in your country would you say are regressing or developing?
Speaking for Turkey,I'd say the more irrelevant sports (hockey, for example) are getting better attendances year by year.
On the other side are watersports, watersports and volleyball were the new popular sports for young people, two decades ago.Volleyball has greatly improved, but watersports actually regressed.
Also specifically waiting for american answers.

nba stadiums are tiny
football is growing and every other relevant sport (volleyball, basketball, judo, futsal) is either stagnated or regressing

How can football actually grow?
I thought football couldn't be bigger/grow bigger in Brazil of all places.

Football is growing? Not likely. More and more evidence indicates you're going to be a brain dead zombie if you play past 5 years in the pros.

domestic league is growing in attendance and club memberships.
actually 50% of Brazilians (most of them women, but whatever) aren't fans of any team, so it has plenty of space to grow. Most who do identify themselves as a fan don't regularly watch the games. There's a difference between everyone playing as a kid and giving a fuck about professional football.
Football's on the up (sadly), cricket's on the down (sadly), and rugby's still #1 (sadly)
