/sp/ whats the most heartwrenching moment youve ever had with sports? It can be a players death, disappointing loss, or a player retiring. Anything really. For me its Steve McNairs death. I just watched a football life about him and I legitimately started crying. Nothing on tv has gotten me to cry but this pulled some strings. Such a tragic story.

I don't understand why so many people on /sp/ like Steve Mcnair. He was a borderline good quarterback who didn't do anything spectacular in his career. was he super charismatic?

McNair is unquestionably a top 5 black QB, and was my favorite Titan after Eddie George.
"In his third year, Utley started every game and was the full-time right guard until a paralysis injury forced him to retire. An injury to his sixth and seventh cervical vertebrae occurred in a game against the LA Rams on November 17, 1991. Although he would later learn he was largely paralyzed from the chest down, Utley flashed the crowd a "thumbs up" as he was being taken off the field. The Lions players would continue to use the "thumbs up" in a huddle before the game started. They later would go on to win what continues to be their only playoff win in 57 years."

>Super Bowl 49
I know it was a heartbreaking loss, but you literally just won the Owl the yer before. That shouldn't have upset you that much. Be grateful of what you've got.

Haven't had a lot of sad moments in my short lifetime, but I definitely teared up when I watched Dan Wheldon die at Las Vegas. I knew something bad had happened when I saw the crash, but seeing INDYCAR lose one of its best racers so suddenly was very sad.

Simple, The Fumble. Barring a death there's nothing even close to that in terms of ripping your heart out

Taylor dying really set back the skins secondary. It hasn't been any good since he's been gone
>>66588454
Except that interception was the end of a potential dynasty. That one Super Bowl win the year before will be totally forgotten within the next 5-10 years.
Feels bad man.

Taylor could have been a once in a generation talent.
It's a damn shame.
>>66589007
what the hell is 17 seconds?
>>66589007
That was also rough but I was pretty used to the Bruins screwing up at the last second.

I actually felt a little emotion this season after years of nothing but disappointment. Watching Charles play through a week 1 injury throughout most of the season was both admirable and deeply worrying and his impending retirement was obvious, but it didn't really set in until his speech at the end of his last home game.
Honorable mention to Tebowmania and the end of the 2011 season in general.
I honestly cried along with Brett when he retired from the Packers. My entire childhood was dominated by Brett appearing on my television every Sunday. I almost had panic attacks as a kid thinking about the Packers one day losing Brett and that April morning in 2008 I fucking lost it, I just started crying when I heard
then I got pissed at him for his wishy-washy bullshit and I'm glad we went with Rodgers but still I was fucking devastated
Game 6
fuck you NBA
fuck you Stern
fuck you Bavetta
Kobe retiring this year
