STL resident here. I never gave a fuck about the Rams and mostly people just made fun of them because they've been so bad for so long.
Needless to say, people flipped shit when they left. My dad claims he's not gonna watch NFL anymore. One of the local big-time law firms even bought an ad during the superbowl saying that they're gonna sue Stan Kroenke (not sure of the grounds, it was just supposed to rile people up and remind them of their brand). It's been a huge thing ever since. People are just bitter, even though the Rams weren't even cool to like.
Now people whisper about getting an MLS team, which I think would be rad.
