You need that retarded basket, though. In football when you don't have an actual goal post all you have to do is place your flip-flops or rocks in there.
And by doing that you also condition yourself to shoot the ball low, which is tougher to defend.
You can't do that in Basketball, and there's no bonus to actually improvising.
