I played from pee-wee all the way through highschool, o-line, d-line, special teams. There isn't a goddamn thing you can do in a lot of situations.
If you're running full speed on a kickoff for example, get blind-sided, catch somebody at the wrong angle, somebody catches you at the wrong angles. Hell, a lot of concussions come from when people hit the ground, not even the direct contact itself. There is no magic fix for concussions and ultimately, no helmet will ever do much for it. I love football, but the more science comes out on this, the more examples of our heroes turning into troubled victims with mush for brains, the quicker it dies
