Do you think Sergey Karjakin has what it takes to beat Magnus Carlsen in a twelve game match?
>>66443734
Sergey is a meme, but in the past unironical sense.
Basically a meme

>Karjakin is 22 years old
>already in his second marriage

He's 26.
>>66444543
I think he's at his 3rd already.
Hi my norwegian bandwagoner friend, I've been banned. Karjakin showed some brilliant performances on this tournament and deserves to be the WC contender. Neither your candidate (Svidler) or mine (Naka) did nuffin, so we'll both agree that we know shit about chess. And Caruana had a real good chance, that's good for chess.
I told you the 3rd day that I was really affraid of Sergey winning it because it would be the most boring match ever. We'll see.
>>66444644
I only hoped Svidler would do well for personal reasons. Never did I expect him to win the tournament, though I did have hopes for Anand, Caruana and Aronian.
>>66444684
Neither I was considering Naka winning it instead of the ones you said, but we both talked about experience in candidates and the + score against Magnus. Don't deny it.
Together they are strong.

Do you have any english speaking chess youtube channels you follow? I like ChessNetwork and PowerPlay Chess
>>66444907
Ben Finegold lectures at St Louis Chess club are the funniest thing on internet related to chess. For serious stuff there's lot of GM/IM with channels where they beg for money.
who is the alphago of chess
Who is the Kevin Grosskreutz of chess?
>>66443734
No. None of them could have beaten Carlsen, but Giri would have tied the most.
>>66443734
What move would Karjakin play in this position?
>>66444991
Historically Deep Blue
Currently probably Stockfish 7
Obviously not. Anand would have put up a better fight. Carlsen will win 6.5 - 2.5 without losing once
Which WCC did you like more /sp/? Pooland 2013 was great, staying up watching was comfy as fuck. Do you think that Carlsen had a private beach for pooing?
>>66454021
The two Carlsen-Anand matches were very different, as the first match was quite one-sided from the fifth game onwards, while the second was a much more evenly fought contest. As for my favourite match of all time, I think I would choose London 2000, for several reasons, among them the reinvention of the Berlin.
