Melbourne Demons have been one of the worst teams of the last 10 years. Constantly languishing at the bottom of the standings. They blow all their really high draft picks on duds or people who leave the club at any opportunity. Plus everyone associated with the club keeps dying. Its thought the club is so bad it literally gives people cancer. They were also in trouble a few years back for being suspected of losing games on purpose to secure high draft picks (theres no lottery in AFL. Lowest placed team gets 1st pick, 2nd last gets 2nd etc)
But this year they look like they may win a few more games. Still a few years of pushing for the finals though

Collingwood are, or were, but its not 2010 anymore. Just as far as their list goes they are pretty young with a bunch of really good players and a lot of potential. I dont want them to make the finals and think it will be hilarious if they miss again. I'm a rugby yawnion guy through and through, but AFL is a good sport. It's certainly entertaining and has a good deal of unique aspects that make it worth watching. You really have to go see a game live though to get a good appreciation for it, the guys do a lot of work off screen.
