I was reffing a 13 year old division basketball league last summer and two players got into a scrap. I broke it up but the other guy I was working with the game with said it was league policy to "talk about it."
So we pause the fucking game so the other ref can grab the two kids, sit kumbaya style in the middle of the court, and spend 5 minutes talking about how they "feel" about what happened.
I'm walking around losing my mind that this is happening, it's not like they are 4 years old, these are teenagers, many of them already my height or taller
So they finish talking and the crowd starts clapping

In babby league of basketball (4th and 5th grade, somewhere around that time) I used to intentionally foul to make the other team mad and off their game. I wasn't good at shooting and didn't have the mechanics to do anything else good, so I intentionally fouled out and made them take the shots. Also I remember bringing the top level banter in one game. Off of a rebound a kid on the other team got hit in the head with the ball, and for the next half I just kept saying whenever I guarded him
"Dude that ball hit your big head" and I said that until he pushed me down and got ejected.
