It's the penultimate night of the elimination phase in the Betway Premier League as Liverpool hosts week 8 with four players still at risk of being knocked out of the tournament.
Opening the evening is a rescheduled fixture from week two that is a must-win for either player as Michael Smith faces Robert Thornton. These two are at the bottom for a reason; Blubby has once again shown a severe loss in his ability on TV while Thorn is arguably playing the worst darts of his PDC career. A loss for the Scotsman and he is all but gone with one week left to play.
The third contender in the relegation battle is next as simple Dave Chisnall competes against reigning PL champion Gary Anderson. Chizzy has been the victim of some incredible beatdowns in this year's PL and with Gando in resurgence after his opening night absence, Jizzy could still be waiting for win number two after tonight.
A fight of the indolent is the main event of the evening as Adrian Lewis battles Raymond van Barneveld. This is their first meeting since the Worlds, where Barney forgot how to play darts for the first five sets before Snackpot then forgot for the next three. This will be a match that will be either very good or very bad.
Fittingly for a crowd full of people with one of the most annoying accents known, two irritants in Phil Taylor and Peter Wright then come to the stage. After his last gasp draw against MVG last week, Philth feels like he's back in the groove and will hope to prove it against the Clown, who hasn't won in the PL since February and has been outplayed nearly every single week since despite putting in consistently good performances.
Finally, Wee Rabbie's second match is against that autism machine in Michael van Gerwen. After blowing match darts to beat Taylor last week, you can be assured the World number 1 will be in top form against the only person to beat him in a ranking major event in 2015.

Michael Smith looks destined to be the first man eliminated from this year's PL after a defeat at the hands of Robert Thornton. Wee Rabbie produced his best performance so far to finally his record his first win of the season. For Blubby Boy, it has been a very poor season that never really got going. For all the petulant behaviour he displays at times up on the stage, making him play two games on debut wasn't a smart idea from the PDC. You have to wonder if Gando took night 1 off on purpose just so he could play twice in Glasgow.
On that subject, the reigning PL champion won his sixth straight match as he dispatched of Chizzy with relative ease. In similar fashion to Wright last season, the St. Helens simpleton has followed up a PL success with an implosion. His poor finishing has again been at fault and it looks like he could be eliminated.
Barney, however, will not be eliminated despite losing to Snackpot. Both players dominated the match at different periods but RVB dropped off in the final level to give Lewis the win. Being in the top four for the Stokie is a rarity.
The other PL Stokie was next as Taylor played Clown in a largely dull match that only got exciting once Philth missed three darts for the match and Wright hit a crucial 111 out before drawing the fixture. For all the talk and bluster last week, it's clear the Groper is nowhere near his terrifying standard of a few years ago.
Finally, in the most surprising result of the night, MvG failed to defeat Rabbie in a notably off-colour performance. His unfocused and inconsistent scoring cost him victory as Thorn persisted to draw and get a completely unexpected point. Could the unlikeliest PL survival ever actually happen?
