That's why belichick is the best. The NFL is a perfectly even playing field. It's not like the NBA or mlb where signing a few superstars guarantees you'll reach the playoffs every year. The slide back down to mediocrity that most teams experience after good seasons is appalling. Belichick has avoided it for years. Even when Brady was out for the season he put together a perfectly respectable squad. Again this year, everyone dead. They won a fucking game where they started their right guard / center at right tackle.
