they kind of remind me of 2013 tahs, lots of promise and good attack but end up fucking it up with handling errors

Lads I know that everyone was complaining about this being a poor Six Nations for entertainment and quality of rugby, but what Championships from recent times have really stood out on both of those counts? My memory goes back to around 2004/2005 and I think 2005, 2007 and 2014 were all pretty good. What do you lads think?

>>66308093
I'm actually feeling pretty good about >our prospects in the short to medium term. Think we can at the very least get one win in South Africa.

I agree but I want to change that team I posted. Think Trimble only had an average Championship and we need more pace on the wing so I'd throw in Gilroy or Zebo.
>>
>>66308385
Springboks don't even have a coach yet so it will be your best shot to grab a win in years.

That red was thoroughly unprofessional. I'm literally seething. Tear his fucking contract up

England tour in June though

I wonder if >we will have our European-based players with 60 caps available.

The only one who really matters is Kepu. The rest are all old and finished.

I read somewhere Keiren Keane a decently successful NZ coach from the ITM cup is most likely going to take over
>>

Also let me get my lawyer ill trust you with the scriban
>>
>>66320237
Contract lasts through the 2019 World Cup, with a possibility of an extension.

Negotiating your salary on a public Mongolian horse riding board is inappropriate. I'll have my people contact your people. If negotiations go smooth do expect to be paid very well as well as being provided with living accommodations.

>tfw moving out of this 35 grades average shithole to a city with a gamestop and where 10 grades is hot
noice
if i win against the USA + the NTs considered clearly inferior is enough to survive in the post? Or a cheeky upset somewhere is reccomended?
>>
>>66320304
also, will there be a problem if i only call up white players and try to nationalize argies that didn't make it to our NT?
>>
>>66320389
Upsets needed. We require at least two wins in the next world cup. Attainable but difficult.

Bonuses will be dealt out depending on upsets:

>Fiji
A keg of our cheapest beer and a pot of curry.

>France
An autographed picture of our greatest athlete, George Saint-Pierre.

>Argentina
A lifetime supply of Canadian "AAA" Beef

>England
The entirety of our entire womans progam's budget.(which should be noted gets more funding from world rugby than the mens get)

>New Zealand
Hanging out with our fucboi PM, Justin Trudeau, and blazin it up on 420.

>>66320414
Seeing as how our 1.5 team lost to the Argentinean 2.5 squad 57 - 21. I do not mind. However you must poach players from the South Pacific as well.

With their racial quotas it'd basically be free jobs for you guys.
>>
>>66320537
Well good luck Paco, I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job. Take a wooly jersey.
>>
>>66320550

>>
>>66320610

Paco is a nickname given to people called Francisco, also it's an actual name but only in Galicia, spain
>>
>>66320623
Funny thing is I play with a guy named Guillermo. He's Chilean though.
>>
>>66320640
In a ten points scale, from 0 to 2, how shit is he?
The best chilean i ever saw was a 2
>>
>>66320623

Sure thing, Pedro.
>>
>>66320675
Well on Canadian Club Scale
10 being National Level Player
0 being ovr85/u5 Player
He'd be a solid 6.5
>>
>>66320722
So he's like the Englishman of your team. Who's the Kiwi?
>>
>>66320731
Englishman is arguably better. Best expats at the club are the Irish.
Worst thus far is a Kiwi, but he's like a 6.
>>
>>66320760
>worst a kiwi
kek
any argie by chance?
>>
>>66320760
He's probably an Aussie you mistook for a kiwi.
>>
>>66320775
Yes. Mainly plays 8, but is considered a loose forward. 7/10, very technical but soft.

>>66320785
No he's just really old and unathletic, in his 50s I believe. I personally believe he's better suited to a coaching role.
>>
>>66320810
>the kiwi is bad and old
>the argie isn't a smelly fat scrummaging machine
>the englishamn is good
>the chilean actually plays

everything is turned the other way around in canada?
now you are going to tell me your best player is irish

No best players are the white Canadian guys and the Polynesians who actually have Canadian citizenship, one of which is 19 lol
>>
>>66320883
pls tell me more about your multicultural rugby club canada bro
>>
>>66320915
I never thought about it until now, but other than the university sides, we have a very diverse group of players. Shieeeeet.

I won't tell you my club name, or even what province it's in but the general gist of it, is that:

Our Minis program (u11) is fantastic
Our Junior program is mediocre (u14-u20)
But our premier mens team is top 5 in the country and our womans team is top 10.

Listing the expats, including the ones who are citizens:

2 Aussies
One is a mix of races, is really smelly with long, long dreads. A lil chubby. Plays Scrum half, a lot of heart.
Other is typical west coast Aussie, plays 10/12/15

1 Kiwi
Already mentioned

1 English man
Very new, loose foward, makes 15+ tackles a game. Don't even know how he does it. Best set of teeth I've ever seen

3 Irish
2 play scrum half, the other is a lock
The lock was the long time club captain, but is getting older, but has never played better.
One scrum half is a McGregor clone
The other is a real Alpha Male. Not a dudebro alpha a real Alpha, fancy suits, wealthy job and bitches for days. Top 3 scrum halves in the province.

A family of Tongans
Most of them were born here. 6+ of them ages vary from 15 - 24. 19yo 8Th is arguably the best player at the club. Two of them are raging drunks. Everytime the club has any sort of function/party. Two people are assigned to the each of them to control their alcohol consumption. They always fail though, and they always get into fights. But that's typical Polynesian people

3 Fijians
One is an alcoholic and is decent,
The other two however are national level players and form arguably the best center pairing in Canada, not in the national team. Funnily enough they don't get along too well because they originated from enemy villages in Fiji.

1 Kenyan
Most well spoken and well behaved man I've ever met. Shit at the game though, fat and slow

1 Russian
New to the game, new to Canada. Hates hockey, works with a bunch of the club guys at a bar.
>>
>>66321090
and the argie?

also, this is something that on't let you grow, you gotta prioritize your own players instead of expats, it's something to be legitimately concerned
>>
>>66321114
There's two argies actually. Both fowards both very new to the club and Canada. Our scruming coach is Argentinean so despite only being here for a month or two, they have become very close. The one I mentioned earlier plays for the first. The other sits on the bench for prems, he's a jack of all trades, plays loose foward mainly but can slot in at lock a great utility. He is very good and even plays for a rival provincial team but the current starters are just better.

The reason we have so many expats is because the club is very large, almost 90 men with 4 teams. The expats are at a varying degree of playing level so it evens out. The premier team consists mainly of home grown talent, 19/23 of the usual match day squad is local.

Our Junior program might be mediocre, but every year we get 3 - 5 players who make a transition from boys to men and they more often than not end up staying with the club for a very long time.
>>
>>66321114
Also there are limits to how many expats you can actually have in your club and how many can actually be slotted in as starters.

We are also lucky to have expats who decide to stay in Canada and then attempt to get their citizenship/permanent residency in order to free up an expat slot.
>>
>>66321201
if that's the best way for you guys then i guess it's fine, but if i were in your shoes i wouldn't like it much
however it looks like a very fun place to play at, the foreigners are recruited by your club or they approach the club? Also in which team are you? The main one?
>>
>>66321201
also if it's the second im sincerely interested in getting back into full shape and trying out, how are you guys in the tighthead department? I guess also loose head, but after having retained the number 3 for 5 years in a row while i still played i can't really picture myself playing as a loose even though i did train it just in case
>>
>>66321249
They approach us, usually guys who are recruited for working opportunities and are just looking for a club to play with.

I play with the first
Tiers go like this
Premiership > Firsts > 3As > 3Bs
Two different leagues in my province with the Premiership being the very top in not just the province but arguably all of North America

>>66321263
Premiership team is stacked with props at the moment
At the Firsts and third level, there isn't really any specifics into which side you prop at. Honestly as long as you can hold the weight in the scrum and exhibit a fair playing level you should be good to go rust and all.

However it should be noted every league across the country is ending with the next month or two in order to accommodate for the CRCs
>>
>>66321090
>Other is typical west coast Aussie, plays 10/12/15

West Coast Australians don't even know what a Rugby is so this make no sense
>>
>>66321298
would still take me a couple of months, maybe even three to get back into shape anyways, broke a leg in january of last year and it was pretty serious, my surgeon was a genius and i went through a perfect recovery to full health, but never took care of recovering the muscle lost there after months of not even walking on it, the best i ever played was at the Sub-21 national level and individually just one shitty U-19 game against U r a gay, after that i stopped playing because real life started calling, im still 21yo tho
>>
>>66321314
>real life started calling

what do you do lad?
>>
>>66321311
Top kek. but personality wise is what I meant. Very laid back and enjoys surfing, high half the time.

>>66321314
You still have lots of time in your playing career. I was in a similar predicament as you, except it was for my knee. Tore my Mcl and acl. Even after recovering it took me a while to get back to that level. I took a year off rugby just to get there.

Highest level I achieved was Canada u19 I tore my acl and Mcl shortly after our tour of England.
