Of course it does. He saw change was necessary, and knew the club wouldn't fire him, so he left.
>>
>Dortmund vs Liverpool
I'm honestly wondering if they've started rigging the competition to get more people to watch it.
The Liverpool vs Manchester United tie was massive, bigger than the Champions League games that round and it's immediately followed up with this.
>>
>>66241577
He took it because he had made the decision to leave Dortmund (which I wouldn't be surprised if he now regrets) following a bad run of form, and he then needed a new job, and they were the biggest club looking.

Say Man U had also been looking for a manager at the same time, and were eager to have Klopp - so you HONESTLY think he would have chosen Liverpool?

Thank god not everyone is as stupid as you mate

Same could be said about Rodgers though.

I'll be travelling to Dortmund for the same lads.

Anyone know a sweet place to bang some ugly German girls?
>>
>>66241720
From a perspective of great football you're right, but from the of size of fan bases and the fact it was the first derby game for the two sides in European competition that's enormous, especially for it to be followed up straight afterwards by this one.
>>
>>66241749
"Viewing figures" are largely exaggerated and never accurate. Doubly so when talking about EPLel figures.

Most of the time they just calculate it by adding how many southeastern asians are potentially able to watch it.
>>
>>66241766

Well you shouldnt be considering that Vienna is the nicest Germanic city there is.

Even Salzburg is nicer than Munich.
>>
>>66241699
And I'm saying that he must now look at Dortmund and think "shit, what if I had stayed", especially if they beat Liverpool and win the competition. I doubt he expected them to remain form that quickly after he left

>>66241703
That's true, he had expressed premier league ambitions before, but I remember him talking about arsenal, not Liverpool. I'm just saying, the way it has played out, and would play out if dortmund win this match, surely the thought will cross his mind that he coulda just stayed

Unlike the senile cunt Wenger, he realized that he had taken Dortmund as far as he could so he left.
>>
>>66241783
>ugly German girls

You're in the right place in Dortmund and the entire Ruhr region then
>>
>>66241804
Should be obvious from the CL draw alone. Every year the same shit. Now they are also trying to push the EL and are using Dortmund for it.

Porto -> Tottenham -> now Liverpool
>>
>>66241801
If Klopp stayed, they never would have Signed PEA and would thus still be a midtable bayernliga team
>>
>>66241801
They never really lost form, just had a horrific injury crisis.
Much like Leicester's great escape last season that was actually them gaining league winning form he left them having got them back up from relegation to a European spot.
>>
>>66241824

All German "girls" are ugly, except in Hamburg and Berlin.
>>
>>66241799

Taste is relative. Since Dortmund is a blue-collar city full of fans, its preferable to a foreigner, over a posh village aka DDorf.

No German city is "nice" (except Munich) because they all got carpet bombed to shit.
>>
>>66241801
Because he wasn't winning almost everything with Dortmund before that. Be had a bad season and left Dortmund before it was at risk of getting worse.

This was always a downgrade, it's now his job to make it an upgrade.

It's strange how klopp is basically bigger than liverpool. Every article or headline regarding Liverpool opens with klopp this klopp that. His face is in all the photos
And now with this draw its all about klopp once again. It's normal for a big European coach to meet their former club because of how often they move around yet this is heralded as some sort of blockbuster. Add in the fact that it's one of the traditional big teams involved and suddenly the english media pretend to care about europa

Klopp isn't a manager who moves to a new club every year like Mourinho, Ancelotti (post Milan).

Klopp is synonymous with dortmund's rise to the top of German and European football, of course it's a huge occasion

Villareal beat Napoli.
Napoli could easily beat any English team at the moment.

Villareal drew with Real Madrid. Real Madrid (even though they are shit right now) could easily sweep any English team aside.

If Liverpool somehow manage a MIRACLE against a team of superior players and a superior coach and meet Villareal they will get a rude awakening.

>>66242488
Meh dunno, Klopp will be given a lot of time and freedom at Liverpool. I can see him being here for as long as Rafa was.

He always talks about time and stability, maybe he'll go to Bayern in 5-8 years or whatever. But I don't think he'll ever be a short term manager
>>
>>66242573
>Villareal drew with Real Madrid
Villarreal beat them
>>
>>66242573
>Team A beat Team B. Team B beat Team C. Therefore Team A is better than Team C.

You know how I can tell you know fuck all about football?
>>
Villarreal should change their name to Villareal (one R) because nobody ever types it right, even Spanish people.
>>
>>66242573
Yeah but i believe Napoli is focused on his Serie A title, trying to beat Juve and played europa like a "side" cup while spaniard teams getting BTFO by Atletico/Barca/Real are playing their lives on Europa

Liverpool is fucking done in BPL and isnt playing shit outside Europa too and i beleive they can win """biggest""" teams
>>
>>66242590
I know that everyone single one of these teams have players of more quality than Liverpool. I know anything can happen in football, but the likelihood of Liverpool beating Villareal, Dortmund or Sevilla is very, VERY slim. I fucking hate liverpool fans and their delusion and I'm a fucking liverpool fan. I'm just trying to be realistic because I've actually seen these teams play, unlike mos Liverpool fans who are in their own little EPL bubble,
>>
>Shakhtar
>relevant

They have been absolute shit this season, even in their own league where they had Texeira banging in 20+ goals before the fucking new year.
>>
>>66242488
That's what he himself thought when he left Mainz. One year here, two years there and so on. Like most managers.
>>
>>66242618
You're a self hating wool, fuck off back to twitter you ming
>>
>first Liverpool vs Man U
>now Liverpool vs Dortmund

and people seriously don't believe this shit is fixed? fuck off UEFA
>>

This. See >>66241373
>>
>>66242618
Way do people call it delusion? We know it's a longshot, but that doesn't stop us having faith in our team. To be honest, we're lucky to be where we are now considering how the season should have played out. Klopp is restoring hope. It's not delusion.
>>
>>66242576
Liverpool are one of the more patient clubs when it comes to managers. Wherever he goes next he will be under constant scrutiny

Theyre going to be 2 great games.

Good luck Dortmund fans.
Good luck Liverpool fans.

We'll need it.

It's become a meme. Literally not seen any Liverpool fans acting like we're gonna walk the competition, everybody is nervous of Dortmund

Table since Klopp took over, ordered by points per game

>k-klopp just need to buy his players
>>
>>66242739
>>66242665
Not him but the delusional part is that some fans believe they would have easily made the final if it weren't for Dortmund and that they were the 2nd favourites beforehand (they actually were according to the bookies)
>>
>>66242743
>3 points off 4th with a game in hand despite taking over mid-season, not having his own players, a crazy injury crisis, and the squad being mentally shot
>in that time reached a cup final at Wembley, and knocked Man Utd out of Europe on way to a quarter final

Pretty good desu
>>
>>66242743
He didn't do well with Dortmund at the start either.

He needs time to build his own team and to structure it his way. In 2 years time you can judge him.

>>66242767
Well, I've never seen this 'delusion' when conversing with other pool fans in Liverpool.

All troll aside, is it and advantage for Liverpool to have the ex-BVB coach by their side ? He knows all the Borussia players, the tactics, etc
>>
>>66241387
same
;_;
>>
>>66242817
It's good he knows it, but it's down to whether or not the players can properly implement the style of play to beat them with the time they have.
>>
>>66242817
the tatics are completely different under Tuchel
>>
>>66242817
he might have an advantage because the new BVB plays possession + pressing + counter attacking, while Liverpool is currently in the "just play it on the counter"-phase.

Qtinho and FIrminho might nick one or two in. Its gonna be hard tho
>>
>>66242817
>the tactics
He really doesn't though. Tuchel plays differently to Klopp, not to mention he's extremely tactically variable.
>>
>>66242817
They play different now and Tuchel is unpredictable. That being said, even Poop hated playing Dortmund under Klopp, but I doubt Liverpool are good enough yet.
>>
>>66242864
>Qtinho
He really is a qt. Even those shitty Liverpool shirts look cute on him. Especially the one with the collar.

manchester has had massive cash fueled and ongoing urban regeneration over the last 30 years, post industrial is not really an appropriate term for it anymore

I've been to london twice. Even that area near west ham stadium is better than here. Tbh the only city in Europe I was sure was worst was Kiev.

College Sports are like Regionalliga for Americans, yes?
>>
>>66242817
Knowing the players must help a lot. Probably gives Liverpool a slight psychological edge too.
>>
>>66241673
No top manager wants to be in madrid after what they did to Carlo. Floren is going to run them into the mud (again)
>>
What if he will lose against Dortmund? How would the fans of both teams will react?
>>
>>66241455
They'd get beat by all the teams left in it bar Prague, Braga, Shaktar and a stretch Bilbao.

Liverpool are going to win the Europa league. Feel sorry for Dortmund supporters.

>Napoli could beat Leicester

top kek
>>
I think Liverpool will come to closer to Dortmund than Spurs did but I'd very surprised not to see Dortmund win the tie.
I imagine Klopp will be solely focused on the Europa League now, top 4 is probably too far away now and its their only chance for a trophy this season now.
Even then, a quarter final in Europe, a cup final at Wembley and Europa League qualification would probably be a decent season for Liverpool considering they still have Brodge's squad.

So will Liverpool roll over like Tottenham?

Will they also accept that it is futile to play against a strong team from a better league?

Free bye for Dortmund no matter what.
>>
>>66245256
I doubt anybody in Liverpool would blame him. Dortmund are a great team, and this isn't Klopp's squad.

If we lose, we lose. It'll be a great trip and occasion
>>
>>66245915
Nah they'll play like their lives depended on it otherwise Klopp'll have them killed, he's demanded a full on performance from the players regardless of game or competition.

Liverpool will play much better than Tottenham did, they will have the capability to win the tie but it'll be an extremely difficult game for sure.
>>
>>66245915
This is Liverpool's best chance to get into the CL, and their only chance to win a trophy this season, and they'll probably fight like madmen to win. I'm guessing there will be a psychological element to how badly they want is too because of the whole Dortmund and Klopp-thing. I'm looking forward to seeing if The Kop will honor the traveling Dortmund fans with some actual noise
>>
>>66246442
Well, they actually made some noise against Manure so it's obviously possible.
>>
>>66246538
Yeah, fucking finally. More noise than I can remember them making for years, actually. Excited to see The Yellow Wall again, i experience Dortmund fans way to rarely.

The run in to the title in 13/14 was immense every game.
The loss of the title killed it completely, from the first Southampton game in the summer I just remember anfield continuously being a cauldron of disappointment.
Klopp's arrival has started to reverse that though, the Man U game was awesome.
>>
>>66245915
Klopp will fight. He's not the kind of guy to lose on purpose.

When Liverpoo won the CL against Milan they were outside the top 4 that season and would have missed the CL next season. They had to appeal for them to reappear the following season as defending champions
