>FC Porto president says in a private dinner that Casillas is a flop
>Says that Casillas costed us a lot of points, both in the Portuguese league and in the CL
>Says that New York City FC wants to buy him
Good to know that he'll leave. Maybe he won't be shit in the MLS.
>>66195590
if this is true, the complaints about Casillas, then why not play a backup keeper? this is all Porto's fault.
>>66195608
He sells shirts, and he has a huge salary, so we're kind of forced to play him.
Plus, Mourinho put him in the bench, and we all know what that did to the locker room
JUST
>>66195635
So who will be the GK next season? Will they bring a new one or just play that old guy that Casillas replaced?
>>66195590
I'd feel sorry for him, but this isn't about naturally declining with age.
As a goalkeeper your lifespan can last well up until 40.
Casillas is only 34.
It was his own fault for not developing and working on his positioning and anticipation as a goalkeeper.
He always relied on his world class reflexes, which were enough years ago, but now that his reflexes have slightly suffered, his poor positioning and intelligence as a GK has been exposed.
Look at Buffon, his reflexes aren't that great, but he has always been good at his positioning and anticipation of the ball. And he's still world class.
>>66195854
maybe play Raul Gudino
>>66195590
>the MLS
He can't play for Man City C anyways
>>66195854
Porto has 5 GKs ucurrently under contract I believe.
At the same there's shit for CBs and FBs
>>66195886
Already have a shot stopper and a sweeper senpai. Nobody wants Casilolas.
you now remember halal fanboys claiming Casillas > Buffon around 2010
>>66195590
I think even the mls is too much for him. It's either qatar or retirement
>>66196143
>the mls
>>66195608
>if this is true, the complaints about Casillas, then why not play a backup keeper?
The last Portuguese coach that did this got fired.
Also, got so traumatized with this that when his last team had influential players playing like shit, he didn't bench them.
man city c aka new york city is an embarrassment to mls
What did he do to get this JUST'd?
>>66195854
Either Gudiño or José Sá (pic related)
>>66196399
>Trying to push the salary cap
>disgrace
How many homegrown players has your team cut so far?
>>66196009
kek, I remember this. Absolutely casual. I've been a Buffon fan and anti-Keksillas since 2000 and it damn sure paid off.
>>66196009
yes, and?
They weren't wrong
>>66196412
said some stuff that was supposed to be private to spanish media while at Real Madrid
got old
>Casillas’ signing has been an absolute fiasco
what did he mean by this
Next Vitor Baia right here
>>66195862
The reason being why he relies on his reflexes is because he is short for a keeper.
>>66196956
That beard is so fukin ridiculous I fukin swear
>>66195590
Fucking hell, the MLS is just a pit of depressing ex-stars, Kaká, Pirlo and now Casillas.
>>66199435
>Implying your shitty Dutch team would say no to Kaka or Pirlo.
Doesn't Pirlo play for the B-squad of that team you bandwagon?
>>66199588
>Americans
>>66199696
>Algerians
>>66196009
>british revisionism
first it's the '66 wc and now this
will you ever stop?
That Casinhas pic is priceless.
Here's a better version
(e pluribus unum
que sejas tricampeão)
Anyone saved that vocaroo related to >>66201890
with a black anon saying shit like "casillas my man why you do it man" ?
Casillas the lazy reflex babby got exposed
no work ethic, you turn shit when you hit your 30's
>>66199435
>the MLS
Btw that's just at most 10 players you're refering to
>>66201890
It's one of the best football related *record scratch* pictures.

>>66207373
I love how he always has someone else to blame, done the same during his whole career
>>66207373
>we're about to go out, better hurry up with this thr-whoops
>>66196009
Uh...are you saying Casillas wasn't the best keeper in the world in 2010? This meme of a player was never good cause they start slowing down later on is beyond retarded and most of the time it's perpetuated by retarded brits.
>>66207515
>that was the last ball casillas touched in cl with madrid
beautiful
>>66201890
>>66207373
Usually goalkeepers get better as they age because they're more experienced and have better positioning and understanding of his position and the game in general
And then there's this guy
>>66207689
He's a completely broken man, he was booed out of his boyhood club and has his balls in wife's purse
Now he's playing in a country where he buys his towels from in front of a bunch of Cristiano lookalikes, knowing he's on his way to the MLS for the end of his career
He's JUST personified in sports right now
>>66207743
>the MLS
He won't btw
>>66207689
>and have better positioning and understanding of his position and the game in general
Problem is Casillas thought he didn't need to work on any of that shit, because his reflexes on the line were still going strong.
>>66207689
>Usually goalkeepers get better as they age
This is not a valid criticism. He started his career at the top when he was very young and was consistently top 10 GK for over a decade. I don't even get the hate for him, will you all start hating Messi when he starts slagging behind?
>>66207829
>will you all start hating Ronaldo when he starts slagging behind?
:^)
I honestly had no idea he had gone to Porto
what the fuck happened to him? I mean I know field players get slower after time and dont have the stamina, but a keeper with those skills? How can he lose it?
Hey Porto, why dont you just buy the keeper from the second club in Germany that gets relegated this year?
You wont get Zieler from Hannover probably, but getting a goalie from a relegated Bundesliga club should be a bargain and pretty much all bundesliga goalies are very solid.
Question , who the fuck can afford his wages in MLS?
He'll be the most expensive goalkeeper in league history
>>66208915
We got this guy. With his beard, he'll scare off the opposition attackers
>>66209010
Colorado apparantly.
>>66210188
There's no guarantee they actually gave him that much money
>>66208850
That's the point, his goalkeeping skills like positioning and anticipation were always lacking compared to other great keepers. He always relied on almost superhuman reflexes but reflex is the first thing that goes away with age and now that he's lost it, all his shortcomings got exposed.
He's only 34, compare him to Buffon who's 38 and still a top 3 GK in the world
