I have met four players who tried a career on footy and failed miserably. The worst of them was a bench warmer in América MG on amateur ranks, the best of them was a scorer in Cruzeiro for the state championship. Three of them cheated on their ages, one of them had implications on his life because fake ids.
I think African federations use some test for u-17 players to actually check if they're of age. They just develop physically earlier.
