Yeah I totally agree. Stones is good and could be one of the best but he is a very stubborn player. He puts us at risk to much which is why I think Mori has done great replacing him.
I would also love a new attacking midfielder as back up for Barkley and a replacement for Osman.
1) Convince their talented players like Lukaku, Stones, Barkley to stay so they don't have to sell players they don't want to anymore
2) Throw more financial muscle around in the transfer windows to get the players they want instead of having to lose them to other clubs (like Payet to West Ham)
3) Grow into a club that can challenge for top 6 again and eventually top 4

With the new tv contracts coming we are going to see many new club owners, specially in lower divisions where clubs are cheap and with minimal investment you can try to win the jackpot if you manage to ascend them into the premier division.
The thing is many of these new owners are not there to invest and challenge for the title or the cl, many don't even have any interest in football, but to keep the club safe enough to not be demoted and meanwhile leech and funnel away the big tv money, just like man united owners have been doing for as long they could until they've almost lost their european place (and some sponsor money too).
Not sure this will be the case with everton but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
