How many Balloon Doors will he win?
>>65744016
not as many as Barcelona prospect
probably, dutch football is shit these days and seems to be getting worse especially when robben retires
>>65743956
Wow , will he be ready for 2018? Because he's really good with the ball, without the ball and at crosses. And he's a skiller.
This will be the best midfielder for USA at this rate
>>65745001
if he keeps getting minutes then sure
How long until he's shilling for vacuums on Twitter like Adu?
I hope so
Will US ever win a WC?
When will be?

WC Results. The same or better. The same being better.

Well, brits got eliminated on groups and US in the top 16.
Seems pretty balanced.
USA won't win a world cup in my life time

Could literally care less.
It's happening, soccer is a thing here now (barely), wouldn't be surprised to see US turn out some real prospects in the next 10 years.
I just can't be asked to care though when 90% of them are going to be MLS trash forever.
>>65743956
Even Albania and Northern Ireland are better than the Dutch right now, m8.
What is your future looking like Britfags?

>>65745369
The Dutch and the English have a much better squad than the US. They have some abysmal players starting and no bench.
>>65745568
Not what is being discussed. US has been poaching German players and has other good youth players. Your future will forever be dirty mestizos
Hopefully the generation of talents coming up now will come good. If nothing shitty happens Bazoer will probably become a world-class midfielder so there's that. Last/this generation has been really underwhelming after winning the U17 Euro's in 2011. The only players from that team that will actually become/are good are Willems, Aké, >depay and perhaps Vilhena and Kongolo.
The most exciting prospect is probably Abdelhak Nouri though.

Can't be asked is a term here in the States that I've heard my entire life.
So while it was technically stolen from the Brits, it is also a different phrase.

>>65745702
>The only players from that team that will actually become/are good are Willems, Aké, >depay and perhaps Vilhena and Kongolo.
That's how it always is though. Switzerland won the U17 WC in 2009. The only players from that squad that still get regularly called up are Xhaka, Rodriguez, Kasami and Seferovic.
One of the players from that squad now plays for the Thai national team.

It's rather shocking how far Dutch football has fallen. The only player from this list that I'd pick into the England squad is Wijnaldum, and even then he wouldn't be a starter.
They still aren't worse than the US though, that's kinda insulting.

If the current crisis of the Dutch Nt continues, I’d put the USMNT above it any day of the week.
honestly once American kids start taking soccer seriously I have no doubt America will atleast be always top 10
no one even likes soccer and the women dominate it because they actually give a shit and the program actually takes it seriously
soccer really has this connotation of being a girls game still and niggers still arent into it
>>65747127
>the women dominate it because they actually give a shit
And because almost everyone else doesn't give a shit.
>>65747131
eh its the most popular sport in your countries and you still get rekt desu and the men's team is actually pretty decent (for how little this country gives a shit about soccer atleast)
I kinda wish we cared more though, soccer actually has a good global community you can banter with
>>65746860
we're rebuilding. this is honestly not a terrible team. might not be as good as France but definitely good enough to compete with Sweden. I know that's not what we're supposed to be aiming for based on our history but like I said, we're rebuilding. Maybe we get another good generation soon
>>65747127
i'd like american coaches to start taking soccer seriously
>stop all them flashy moves
>kick the ball to the biggest player
>what are tactics
>what is possession
>you don't need a first touch
>i don't rate players with sub-30 inch verticals and poor 40 yard dash times
>we're too poor to understand promotion/relegation
>>65746860
>They still aren't worse than the US though, that's kinda insulting.
Yeah, most of the guys on the Dutch team could start for the average Premier League team. I don't know if the US even has five guys good enough to do that (Howard, Bradley, Dempsey, ???, ???).
>>65747175
>>i don't rate players with sub-30 inch verticals and poor 40 yard dash times
It's really weird how some places coach soccer. In areas with a lot of latinos, you'll see coaches who give a shit about things like possession and technique even at the youth level, but I visited my cousin in North Carolina and their high school program was run just like a football team.
>>we're too poor to understand promotion/relegation
Promotion/relegation just wouldn't work in the US. There's no real connection between the teams and the local area, if the MLS team in a city got relegated then interest in MLS would basically die in that city. People who might have otherwise given soccer a chance would never go to a game ("it's a minor league team? who cares?") and soccer fans would just go watch the Premier League or La Liga.
>>65745151
> we're better than England
Quite an achievement you have there. I mean, who isn't?
>>65747204
>it's a minor league team? who cares?
well they would care if the minor league gave a spot to the top league
minor leagues that don't have promotion, of course, are absolutely pointless
>>65747148

>>65747204
>mls would die in that city
Why can't a city support more than one club? That's how it works in literally the rest of the world.
>>65747225
this and having actual soccer clubs instead of "franchises"
>>65747256
>Why can't a city support more than one club? That's how it works in literally the rest of the world.
>this and having actual soccer clubs instead of "franchises"
The money and interest isn't there to sustain a lot of smaller clubs. You won't get 5,000 people turning up every week to watch Literally Who SC of Southern Nebraska.
Soccer is the 5th-most popular sport here, this isn't like in other countries where soccer is #1 or a close second and you can have some kind of organic support. It has to be forced and artificial in order for soccer to survive as a pro sport here, because soccer's natural place in America is irrelevance.
>>65746037
No, you tard. Americans say "can't be assed"
>>65747252
>brazil
which one?
>>65747183
Howard is the worst first choice Keeper in the league
Bradley would not start at all
Dempsey is past it
>>65747302
>It has to be forced and artificial in order for soccer to survive as a pro sport here
actually the artificiality is why MLS is so unpopular
you're delusional if you think this isn't why the average soccer fan prefers epl and liga mx
>>65747385
This. Nothing cringier than Real Salt Lake, Sporting whatever, and calling the club FC in a country that refers to the sport as soccer.
>>65743956
>Being this retarded.
>>65747385
>actually the artificiality is why MLS is so unpopular
MLS is unpopular because soccer is unpopular. The NFL and NBA couldn't be more artificial if they tried, yet both leagues are wildly popular because the sport is popular.
>you're delusional if you think this isn't why the average soccer fan prefers epl and liga mx
You're delusional if you think that it is why. The average soccer fan that prefers Liga MX does so because they're chicanos who think of themselves as Mexicans. The average soccer fan that prefers the Premier League or La Liga does so because those leagues are miles ahead of MLS in terms of quality, and because it's just easier to watch games. The Premier League is on every Saturday/Sunday morning with no other sport to compete with it, while MLS struggles for airtime on weekday nights with baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and college sports.
>>65747396
I agree, it's awful. But that's not what I mean by artificial. Even if every MLS franchise had a normal, American name, the league would still be forced and artificial because every team is a franchise founded in the last couple decades. And those cringey Euroboo names were chosen because the league is trying to appeal to the Euroboo hipsters who make up the majority of non-latino soccer fans.
am i the only one iTT who found USMNT games was quite exciting in the last world cup?
i kinda like their crude, oldschool play
>>65743956
Isn't it already? Have you seen the fucking Eredivisie? If you can't compete with that shit you're andorra level.

I have no idea how we didn't lose that game 5-0, they had so many shots on target and we had nothing until Wondolowski did his best Adam Vinateiri impression.
>>65746638
