Adidas are making loads of money out of the deal.
They will want to do business in the future with United.
They will not want Nike to get back in.
They will want to keep United.
Therefore they will not want to upset United in any way or fall out over stupid a mere £200 million.
If anything they'll want to increase their offer and give United MORE money so that they can increase their exclusivity deal beyond the initial 10 years.

The point of anonymous boards is that you are judged entirely on the merit of what you say, not who you are or whatever credentials you have. As soon as you mention credentials it makes me want to say:
No-one is doubting that United is a huge brand and sponsors are willing to pay out big bucks to deal with them now. But that brand is contingent upon success. People can see that Man United are now in their "it's our year" era and will remain there for some time, Mourinho or not. After several seasons of outspending everyone, finishing mid table and losing to full time plumbers, the sponsors will obviously not be willing to pay anything like as much.
