If it was that simple an issue I'd agree, but there are a lot of other factors involved. For one, the 2007/2008 Patriots were stacked. It makes sense that they'd win more games than the 2011 Colts. Secondly, Cassel was a much better QB than Curtis Painter, who was out of the league next year.
Peyton did carry the 2010 Colts to the playoffs, but that doesn't mean he's hasn't had great supporting casts other years.
