That said, someone ran a Football Manager 15 simulation for 1000 years. Nottingham Forest re-entered the Premier League at the end of the 2000's and into the 2100's. I don't believe they get relegated once in the ensuing 900 years. In the 3000s, Forest, Brentford, Ipswich and Hull become the dominant teams.
Interesting bonus facts: in the simulation, no-one breaks Arsenal's unbeaten streak and the biggest win in PL history (Utd's 9-0 win against Ipswich in 1995) is never broken either.

As a forest supporter, not anytime soon. Our squad is good enough for the championship but only good enough, nowhere near promotion challenging at the minute. Once we get out of the transfer embargo, get a settled starting 11 and develop some of the youth players we could be a force in a couple of seasons but it's not guaranteed. Either way it'll be a while before we're back in the prem again, few seasons at least
