LeBron James is the best player of his generation and as such is marketed and pushed non-stop by the NBA to the point where it's obnoxious.
Mike Trout is the best baseball player any of us has seen in a long time and is presented as such by Major League Baseball and in the media at large.
Sidney Crosby was thought to be the next GOAT in hockey and the NHL firmly got behind him as the face of the new generation of players.
Why on earth does the NFL have such a hard time throwing such support behind Tom Brady? The guy might not just be the best player of this generation he might end up being the best professional football player EVER. Why would they not want to push that as hard as they could? Baseball pushed Ruth, basketball pushed Jordan, hockey pushed Gretzky as much as they could. So why not Brady?
