How many years is that in a row now? Can barely remember anything fucking else. And they claim their commie sports system is to make it fair.

patriots make it most years because they have the GOAT QB and Coach which are far and away the two most important roles. More important than any two people in any other sport TBHfam.

and the broncos keep making it because they have a good defense and the league is rigged for peyton to succeed

>>
>>65031117
Could still be Osweiler.
>>
>>65031117
That's because Belichick, Colbert, and Elway are leagues ahead of the rest of the AFC in what they do. Philip Rivers is about as good as Big Ben and aging PeyPey, the people around him just aren't that great. Tom Brady would be a really good QB with no playoff success if he didn't get picked by a good franchise, Big Ben would be another Matt Ryan, and Peyton Manning would be a lesser Vikings Favre if he went to the Titans instead of the Broncos. What's really annoying is seeing the Bengals front office keep Marvin Lewis and this incarnation of the Steelers away from the greatness either could achieve without being hindered by the Bengals hiring too many bargain bin niggers.

If Murrica had a league structure the same way we do (the right way) then we would be seeing similar results.

But the fact remains that when your entire season is decided by a shitty, retarded mini-knockout tournament then you can easily get a range of undeserved winners

NFL has parity is the biggest myth in american sports. its the same 5 teams that dominate and win everything. 14 teams have won in 30 years and out of the past 15 superbowls 13 have involved Brady, Manning or Big Ben repping AFC

this is due to cap smarts, and belichick being lightyears ahead of the league, whilst big ben and pey pey are just better QBs, with brady being the best of the 3, really more like this though:

Did you even open the image he posted? Those are Champions League winners, not domestic league winners. The Champions League is also a shitty knockout tournament, but we're seeing very different results from the NFL playoffs because the NFL is more balanced.
>>
>>65032040

Football is too physically demanding to play more than 16 games in the regular season. As it currently stands, it's a war of attrition to make it through the whole season without key injuries dooming the team.

Also, the formula for figuring out those 16 games is actually very fucking logical, and fair. 32 teams divided into 8 relatively geographic divisions, playing each other 2 times a year to foster rivalries. Then, all the teams in your division playing one division from each confrence on a rotating basis, alternating between home and away each time. This is pretty much exactly what the prem does but extrapolated over a season or 2 because of injury reasons. Then, the final 2 games are teams in your own conference are teams that finished in the same place as you, relative to the division! So the best teams play each other yearly (pats vs. broncos / pats. vs colts) ensuring both high quality games and less bullshit games of a good team killing a shitty one. Its engineered fair as fuck and not to be boring.

If the nfl was a 31 game season...lol dude that would take 6 fucking months because its impossible to play more than 1 game a week. By week 20 every team would be decimated by injury and the quality of play would suffer.

NFL makes a fucking deserving champion each year. Since like 1970 the superbowl winners have easily been in the top 4 teams of that season.

Playoff seeding and home/away, as well as schedualing, is determined via sucess in the regular season. So if you do well in the regular season, you position yourself well for the tournament. It's not fucking random you retard.

How can you be so stupid, you don't have to understand the NFL but don't shit talk the structure when you are ignorant

>>
>>65032063

Brady, Manning, and Big Ben have all lost a SB in that time. Meme teams like the Giants and DAT. BIRD. make improbable wins in the SB. The NFC has great turnover.

The upper echelon of the AFC (patriots) has been repressing the proto-dynasities from winning as much as they could have(manning/steelers/ravens) which in turn are keeping the shitter hopefuls from establishing any real success (chargers 2006-2011) (jets late 2000's) (texans/being consistent last few years but getting rekt in playoffs by better teams)

It's a pretty fascinating power structure if you look at the dynamics of it over the past 15 years, Patriots have dominated but loads other teams have had their brief moments of glory as well as toppled them often. NFC is always wide open and brutal and the top teams from there are always powerful year to year (packers/seahawks/saints, 49ers for a while, now panthers) are trying to establish their own dynasties

Your stat says basically in the last 15 years, if you combine the 3 most sucessful guys into one, that equals 13/30 possible starting jobs. So one third. That's solid parity mixed with a mix of established dynasties and budding ones. What's wrong?

Yes the Giants were better than the Patriots. The Pats barely beat them in the regular season, then couldn't handle their dominating pass rush in the SB. Coughlin worked with Belichick during the Parcell days, so he knew how to take him out, whereas other coaches don't really have that level of insight into his mind. Also Gilbride the OC has had a winning record over Belichick so he knew what he was doing too. That loss was no fluke, and the same goes for getting beat the second time.
>>
>>65032335

Football is like war. You have to account for the next battle as much as the current. 2008 Gnats suffered from injuries and terrible defensive matchups. However by the post season they adjusted what had to be and no other team managed go adjust for them in time. The 2008 Gnats didn't only best the Pats, they best every other top tier team that made it to the playoffs, ON THE FUCKING ROAD + they held off well enough to even get there. The Pats had a bye week and home field advantage all the way. They just got out maneuvered at the end. So yeah, 2008 Gnats are elder god tier. Would've won last year's SB too.
>>
>>65032335
>Oh so the 2008 New York Giants were just as good as the 18-0 New England Patriots?

As a patsfag, yes. The Giants' defense matched up well against the Patriots' offense.

>If Murrica had a league structure the same way we do (the right way) then we would be seeing similar results.

I doubt it. Look at the Premier League champions over the last decade:

14-15: Chelsea
13-14: City
12-13: United
11-12: City
10-11: United
09-10: Chelsea
08-09: United
07-08: United
06-07: United
05-06: Chelsea

Now look at the NFL teams with the best regular season record over the last decade:

15-16: Carolina (15-1)
14-15: Denver, New England, Green Bay, Dallas, Seattle (12-4)
13-14: Denver, Seattle (13-3)
12-13: Atlanta, Denver (13-3)
11-12: Green Bay (15-1)
10-11: New England (14-2)
09-10: Indianapolis (14-2)
08-09: Tennessee (13-3)
07-08: New England (16-0)

The existence of the salary cap and the draft in the NFL prevents any one team from staying dominant for too long. Tennessee and Indianapolis are awful now, Carolina was awful 5 years ago, Dallas was mediocre for years before 14-15. New England is the only team which has managed to beat the system on a consistent basis, thanks to brilliant management, sheer luck, and probably the best QB-Head Coach duo in the history of football.
>>
>>65032335

Seattle raping Denver in the SB literally DOES prove they are the superior team. If the Broncos were champions, or even not faggots, they would have responded better. But because of their impotent QB and head coach they got used and abused. Seahawks are a fucking worthy champion, they were excellent last season and showed flashes of brilliance this season too. Positioned for success with a young core.

well no shit most teams have no chance of getting into the CL, do you know how many teams there are in Europe? Its called the Champions league for a reason, its the best of the best competing. True. But their record would probably have been among the best in the league on a regular basis with or without "spygate" (which was really just filming at an illegal angle, filming itself was legal) and "deflategate" (which only affected last season's AFC Championship Game).

During the first half of the AFC Championship, when the balls were deflated his stats were:

11/21 98 yards 1 TD 1INT QBR of 61.2

After they changed them out and filled back up his numbers were:

12/14 128yards 2TD 0INT 144.3 QBR

They've made it to the AFCG in 7 out of the last 10 seasons (including this one)m and 4 out of the last 5. For comparison with the big European teams:

-Barcelona has made it to the Champions League semifinals in 8 out of the last 10 seasons, and 4 out of the last 5.

-Bayern has made it to the CL semifinal in 6 out of the last 10 seasons, and 4 out of the last 5.

It wasn't the same "closed eyes, chuck one deep" like in '07 with Tyree but it definitely wasn't some all-time great throw either. It was a good throw with an absolutely phenomenal catch. of course as a *fag you lack literacy. as those two seasons show even with the most ridiculously stacked offensive rosters conceivable brady and company could only put up 14 and 17 points against the fucking giants. brady is only capable of winning when an excellent defense carries him. he just runs up the score against shit teams to make him look like a real elite qb statistically
