How come some people just can't make it with the big boys?
>>
>>64858016
Maybe he just needs a 2nd opportunity like Pete Carroll.
>>
>>64858016
Fuck the big boys. You have total control if you run a college program.
>>
>>64858016
He can't get literally 30% of the top talent of the NFL on his team.
>>
>>64858016
Because he goes from being able to get the best where coaching doesn't matter to suddenly be given random players and actually having to coach. There's a reason why almost no players that Saban coached at Alabama have become a success in the nfl
>>
>>64857886
He's a cuck

and so are all alabama fans

I would rather coach in college... you know... the league where players are actually allowed to hit each other.

their personalities are nothing alike there is no way Saban would make it in the NFL still.

Hi.
>>
>>64857886
Bama was really shittily prepared, but I would blame that on Kiffin. The good recruiting helped make athletic plays. But Jesus fuck, Alabama's kicker looks like such a shithead.
>>
>>64858016
Motivating a pack of mercenaries is hard.

>Saban blows Tebow and Urban Cryer out so bad that Tebow cried and Urban had a heart attack

Yeah, no.
>>
>>64858339
THIS

they have a draft, which makes things pretty much fair

Bama has a name; they can get just about all of the top 10% of players around the nation to come to their school
>>
>>64858372
The only player I can think of is Hightower. He's a beast now. But the reason sabans players don't pan out is because he's such a good coach he already got the best out of the player. Basically they can only get worse and most do because they need a coach like that consistently. Bill Belichick is the only other. Maybe Sean Peyton, probably not though
>>
>>64857886
Who's better in their respective sport? Him or Coach K? Both have 5 titles now. Saban did it in a shorter time span, but Coach K had to compete in an actual tournament.
>>
>>64859351
Coach K also has an Olympic gold medal
>>
>>64857886

Zero owls
>>
>>64859351
Coach K
>>
>>64858339
once the ball starts rolling with a couple years of winning, the talent never stops pouring in for a college team.

Bama attracts talent like ants to sugar
>>
>>64857886

he seems to be thinning on top a little

If he's so great, why hasn't he won seven straight championships?

Literal retard alert

I can name Amari Cooper off the top of my head and my favorite team is in the nfc east
>>
He's autistic
>>
>>64858372

Off the top of my head Eddie Lacy
>>
>>64863979
Literally a fat piece of trash

The only current good ones are Cooper, Hightower..
>>
>>64859351
Coach K benefits from insane amounts of refball and weak NCAA tournament brackets. Saban is better.
>>
>>64863738
He is actually very socially awkward. But everyone thinks he's just being "deep and serious" all the time lel.
>>
>>64863988

The post said "almost no players have become a success"

Eddie Lacy has become a success in the NFL lad
>>
>>64858600
Seriously. For a title game, that was some shitty defending last night.
>>
>>64857886
Does he watch anime?
>>
>>64857886

I don't understand the hate for Saban.

This sub is for REAL SPORTS FANS only, you obviously are a filthy casual who can't enjoy a good coach. Nick Saban is like a fine pinot noir (which is my favorite drink btw), plebs hate it and gentlemen of taste love it for its excellence.
>>
>>64864142
He's forever stained by the NFL
>>

Ants to spilled grape Koolaid would be a better analogy.
>>
>>64858016
Being a college coach is like being an absolute monarch. Being an NFL coach is like being a CEO
>>
>>64863431
Not to mention the fact that the school is in Alabama, so he has access to the biggest, strongest, fastest, blackest dudes that hundreds of years of racial subjugation can produce
>>

Do you forget Urban BTFO Saban with a third string QB just a year ago?

Because you can't win the Super Bowl in the off season like Nick Saban does in college.

Alabama basically has an entire team full of elite high school players. Even the Ohio States of college football can't compete with Nick Saban's ability to recruit.

You don't have that in the NFL which is why Saban shit the bed.

Thanks man. Who knew?
>>
>>64864801
He can't even make his weight.

Starks has to take half the hand-offs because Lacy gets winded after two downs.

The guy just doesn't really give a shit.
>>
>>64865631

When Steve Spurrier was asked the difference between coaching college players and NFL players, his response was that "college players are actually coachable."

Basically, once the niggers get paid, they don't care or listen anymore.

He would say that since he also shit the bed hard in the NFL.

These college busts are just sub-par coaches. They have no excuse when Pete Carrol walked into Seattle and began dominating almost immediately.
>>
>>64865708
Yeah I'm sure that Belicheat has a hard time making his players listen, it's not like Coaches affect there salary or anything
>>
>>64865796

Doesn't hurt to have the best QB of all time on your roster to constantly build around.

Belichick went 11-5 with Matt Cassel at QB.

He's literally the best coach in football regardless of level, QB or whatever.
>>
>>64863988
>>64864769
CJ Mosley

>>64859200
That's absurd. A lot of these guys end up looking better than they are in college because they're surrounded by talent. Put a decent running back behind a loaded offensive line and they'll look godly. Still, Alabama's produced a number of solid NFL guys. The fact that they get to the NFL and their flaws are exposed probably says more about their lack of coaching than anything. Athleticism plus great teammates will hide a low football IQ.
>>
>>64865844
Chiefs went 10-6 with Cassel. He's generally been shitty in his career, but he's had two good season.
>>
>>64858372
Saban just proved he can outcoach anyone even when the talent isn't in his favor.
