The truth is, he was never always consistent for club. When playing for France he was great, but in Juventus and Real Madrid his performances would not be consistent. He wasn't all that great for Real Madrid even, the goal against Leverkusen is pretty much the only important goal he scored, his numbers weren't that great even.
I'd say Iniesta is marginally better than him cause of how good he is at controlling the midfield and going past players.
