Definitely overrated, but he will easily get in just because he played in Chicongo.

Played in too small a market, not many playoff appearances, and missed some games from injury so not sure if he'll ever get in.

>not Tom

nobody fucking cares

just get in the ring of honor with your team.

What? How does your teams RoH even come close to the HoF? I mean seriously. Think about it. Would you rather be recognized as a legend by the entire NFL and your team? Or just be a forgotten number glued to the stands in your team's stadium?

Take your head out of your ass mate.

>nobody fucking cares

Charles Tillman?
He's a without a doubt *NOT* hall of famer. Not even remotely close.

injury cut his career short...but was it cut too short to miss the hall of fame?
>>
>>64704496
TO is definitely a hall of famer, his attitude will keep him out for a few years, but his stats are too good.
>>
>>64704563
Tillman is super underrated man. It will take a few ballots but the guy deserves it eventually.
And he's got a nickname. Like a real one.
>>64704574
Davis was totally forgotten about and it sucks. Great player, great man, and now a great broadcaster.
>>64704581
Yeah I guess that's true. I just have to assume they'll keep him out for a while because >muh sportsmanship. Fucking No Fun League.

RoH is for the fans, HoF is for the players if you ask me. I've seen plenty of players cry being inducted into both but it must feel extra nice to be recognized among your peers as one of the greats compared to everyone who has ever played.
>>
>>64700517
>Borderline

The dude is pretty much a lock, the only question is whether or not he gets in the same class as Lewis which will be hard to do or if he'll have to wait for the next induction.

>>64704314
I miss those bears tbhwyf

Not to mention the fact our DC that year is now coaching the panthers..

and we got Tillman(rip)
hope you enjoyed your Moose rental though, he was quite possibly the all time great #2 WR.
>>
>>64704742
I remember watching games with my dad and we'd both go MOOOOSE when he'd do a big play. Shit man the feels right now.

How was Allen btw? Stopped following him after we gave him to you guys
>>
Basically the entire cast of the 2005 Chicago white sox. I could see dye, konerko, and maybe Contreras, buerlhe and Bobby jenks

I think Frank thomas was already inducted but the rest of that cast is fantastic pods and tad iguchi and Pablo ozuna and Jim thome and Joe crede, Jesus Christ that team was stacked

>>
>>64701575
Why Brian!? Whyyyyy!!!!???
>>
>>64705305
>borderline
you talking about dawk or mcnabb? because dawk is a first balloter, whereas mcnabb will never get in because he never had enough talent around him and he played in a QB heavy era
the one year he had TO willing to play he slayed the league
>the 2004 eagles will never win mcnabb, TO, and dawkins a ring
feels bad
>>
>>64705383
filename
>>
>>64705420
then yeah, mcnabb is never gonna get in, people only look at muh stats and he was throwing to james thrash and todd pinkston for too long
he was one of the best scramblers of all time, and he was our offense for a long time, but since he never won a super bowl his legacy is impacted
>>
What the fuck do you mean borderline? He's a first ballet no doubt.
>>
>>64705305
>McNabb
>HoF
loving every laugh
>>
>>64704574
This might be his year desu. I don't see how you can keep a guy who was league MVP, super bowl MVP, and 2x offensive player of the year out. He was the best RB in the league for a couple seasons at a time when the league was full of great RBs. He's also the main reason the Broncos actually ever won an owl.

I'm also still holding out hope that Randy Gradishar gets in some day. He definitely deserves it, but I'm worried it will never happen.
>>
Can we not do this thread? /sp/ has no idea how hard it is to get into nfl hall of fame and pretty much lists every player on their team as hof worthy
>>
>>64705383
I very much doubt dawkins is a 1st balloter I'd have to look at his stats more but I always thought he was borderline
>>
>>64701575
wait what? He got plugs? looks alright. he looked better with a shaved head tho. like an old school linebacker
>>
>>64700517
I love how Jerome Bettis trucking over him for a TD in that one game was like breaking down the doors into the HoF.

Urlacher will still get in, tho.

RoH doesnt mean shit. I went to the Houston Indy game in Indy last year and they inducted Marshall Faulk and Eric Dickerson. Irsay was out there just staring into space and you could tell Faulk and Dickerson were looking around like "why the fuck am I here?"

Hell Jim Harbaugh is in Indys roh and he was only there for like 4 years.

IMHO biggest borderline is Kurt Warner.

Jerry Kramer was 5-time first-team all pro at Right Guard, won 5 NFL Championships and was ranked the greatest Right Guard in the history of the league by the 50th Anniversary all-time greatest team. Yet somehow is not a Hall of Famer, whereas his teammate, Paul Hornung, was suspended for an entire year for gambling and he was a first ballot hall of famer
>>
Roddy White
>>
>>64708307
Law & Harrison are in eventually, & so is Brian Dawkins by the way.
>>
>>64708323
O-Line are the hardest to get into the HoF. It's probably the least glamorous job in all of the NFL aside from kickers or punters. The bears have had some all time greats in the past but I honestly any of them will ever get in simply for the fact they were O-Line.
>>
>>64708162
Collins and Hightower/Mayo are pretty based tho

im loving them, and I really can't help but see a similarity between vrabel and ninkovich, if collins were a little more ferocious, I'd definitely call him HOF material already, he comes up in big moments though, hightower is also a solid runstuffer, great combo the 2 of them
>>
>>64708432
He was a solid Oliner, I miss Solder though, that guy was very underrated, great left tackle

>>
>Steve Smith will never make the HOF
>Steve Smith will never win a Super Bowl
>Steve Smith will never BTFO a teammate ever again

pretty shitty feeling
>>
>>
>>64704683
Why does everyone forget Thomas Jones from the superbowl run? He was also a huge reason the jest had any success

Kreutz might be borderline as well (6 pro bowls 4 all pros) but muh Jeff Saturday is the only center anyone will remember from the era
>>
>>64708307
Warner is first ballot my nigga
>>
>>64710414
I am a US12 and who is this?
>>
>>64710952
>Warner
>first ballot
No way.
>>
>>64710952
lol
>>
>>64710819
I remember kevin mawae on the titans because every year the nfl did a player poll on who was the dirtiest player in the league and he always won
>>
>>64711885
why not? his post-season stats are legendary. as in, literally some of the best ever
>>
>>64710352
Probably not, but there is some merit considering his best years
>>
>>64711961
>benched for eli manning in NY
>benched for josh mcown in AZ
>benched again for matt leinart again in AZ
Warner had some really shitty years mixed in with the really good years.
I think he will eventually get in but not 1st ballot.
>>
>>64708307
Bruschi, despite being a pats legend, will never be a HOFer. He was the leader and the brains of the defense, but was not an all pro player (except for a couple years in the middle)
>>
>>64712052
And released by the Rams in favor of marc bulger
>>
>>64711961
Because he didn't have sustained success that people expect of HOFers. He had two short, excellent periods in his career separated by years of being pretty average or hurt.

Don't get me wrong, Kurt Warner has always been one of my favorite players. Should he been in the HOF? I think so. Should he be first ballot? Probably not unless it's a weak class.
>>
Since the passing game has evolved so much in modern day nfl I'm curious as to which recivers from this generation will make it in.

look at the current active leaders
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/rec_yds_active.htm

and the all time yardage leaders
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/rec_yds_career.htm

so many of them are up there due to the pass happy league we are in now do all of them make it? none of them? how do we pick from these people?
>>
>>64708432
>>64708534
Last week Mankins pancaked 2 niggas in one play, at age 34 or whatever
>>
Will Kevin Greene make it in the hall?

Also is Steve Smith a hall of famer?
