He was forced into a passing role. Once Lynch went down, the other RBs couldn't handle the run-heavy read option. So he started passing. Then his receivers started going down. Graham & Lockette were done for the season, RBs couldn't read option, so Carroll switched to a more traditional role. Props to Wilson for being able to adjust accordingly but one could argue that he was a Doug Baldwin baby. I mean, Wilson was the QB for the 32nd ranked passing offense last year. In fact, this might the the first year the Wilson-lead Seahawks aren't ranked in the bottom 10 in the passing game. I wouldn't say he's elite just yet because his read-option history still makes a meme out of him but God damn, that sure is an impressive statline for this year and is a testament to his ability to not just be a one-trick pony. We'll see how he operates next year and in the playoffs
