I have rooted for Polish ski jumpers ever since I saw Malysz win in Holmenkollen in 1996 when I was four years old. Yeah, it was bandwagoning back then, I liked the mustache, but I've been a huge fan ever since.

No clue honestly. It's such a depressing state the team is in, there's no easy way out. Take Ahonen for example: his coach, Lepistö (the best coach in the history of the sport imo), said Janne is pretty much at the peak of his physical powers - his test results are similar to those in 2005. He's been jumping mad long jumps in training, too. ANd then, come the competition, and Janne is 40th. It's the same for the whole team.
It's also sad how our one huge prospect, Ville Larinto, was injured in Oberstdorf in 2010 and never recovered. He was a serious talent and we seriously believed he would the a new Hautamäki. It wasn't meant to be.
Here's hoping Kytösaho won't regress - he's very good for his age (15). No Prevc though imo.
I don't follow the Finnish ski jumping scene nearly as much as I do the Polish media, though, so I'm not an expert. Anyone willing to share more information?
