NYD is now the worst day of college football since there are only 3 games all day.

The whole system is pretty much a complete failure so far. For one, trying to pick the best 4 teams out of hundreds, essentially coming down to who won the last match up. Also, the obsessing over 1 player (Connor Cook). I mean, the games weren't even interesting because it was clearly mismatches.
In my opinion, if the committee was looking at who really is the best team, not based on wins and losses alone, Michigan State would've not been there. A fluke play against Michigan and a small win over an essentially Zekeless tOSU team got them there. And don't get me started on Oklahoma football.
Yet here we have it, 2 mismatches (all college football fans saw coming) in the two games so far. The committee is just stroking themselves off at the thought of one player being superman and limiting it to pretty much 2 losses and you can't be considered

These whole "muh playoffs" and "muh best national college" attempts have been a total failure. It favors certain schools with meme players over others and the format and number of pointless bowls are broken beyond all comprehension.
In my opinion, we should simply have the 6 New Years bowls and a match between #1 and #2. Smaller schools below D-1 can have their mickey mouse bowls, but no one gives a shit about anything other than the New Year six (Cotton, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Peach and Rose).

then vote on the winner every year
it is more fun to argue and play a few bowls than have a march madness tier playoff every year.
