Lynch is a great RB who is hard to tackle but never had the speed of the rest of that list (excepting Bettis). He is harder hitting and harder to tackle than half that list even if he is inferior to most of those guys.

Random question my brother thought of.

If you line up to punt (presumably to pin the opposing team inside the 10), and the punter boots it so hard it actually goes through the uprights, would it count as a field goal?

other swapping Norv in for Schottenheimer, were there any other big personnel losses in '07? Not that the Chargers had a chance against the <18-1s, but Norv just took that talented roster and ran it into the ground, and they couldn't have expected LT to get 26 TDs again.

>>64546885
it was schottenheimer after they lost the div against the Pats in '06

looks like tomorrow's gonna be a big day, with a bigger one soon. december 30th is the deadline for all finalized stadium/relocation proposals to be submitted, and they'll be voted for on january 13th. so, soon we'll get our answer on whether the rams/raiders/chargers, in whatever combination (if any at all) will be playing in LA next season.

the first year is attributed to fole's outstanding play and his system having no film on it whatsoever
the next year foles regressed but the talent on the team still prospered pretty well but sbown extreme critical levels of getting exposed in about 3 games if i recall, against the seahawks, 49ers and one other team where chips offense literally gained 160 yards the whole game and that was it
it happened again like twice this year s well Chip is getting more and more exposed
the remaining talent on the roster was still able to pull wins out of their ass and the defense was good until they gave up hope, pulled a fluke on New England
Chip is average at best but he will never be one of the greats if he doesn't change it up multiple coaches have already 100% shut him down like when you play a kid in madden and they run the football down the middle from the same formation everytime chip is that little kid and then he gets surprised that you are blitzing down the middle every single time he runs

I'd be concerned about him having success because he was fresh off the bench while opponents are worn down over the season. Similar situations happen every season. Zac Stacy and CJ Anderson come to mind. At least CJ Anderson has been closer to last year's form recently.

The KC game was only interesting because of his unorthodox "play." When he's in the pocket he throws all technique out the window. He's wildly inaccurate and relies on his receivers to get wide open. Also he's an alcoholic so he'll never study the game seriously enough to become efficient.

>tfw everybody is dead

Why

Why did this have to happen?

What went wrong Pats bros?

Wasn't this supposed to be our year (again)? Wasn't this supposed to be the Brady revenge tour, with complimentary MVP win to go with the Owl ring and Owl MVP?

Wasn't this supposed to be the greatest team since 07'?

Wasn't this the year Brady shat all over the NFL and Gooddell and rode off into the sunset with 5 rings and the title of indisputable GOAT?

Why
Why did everyone on the team have to get hurt?
Why does this have to happen to US?
Why do we always have it so tough, bros?

At least the Ravens and Clots suck.
>>
>Implying we wont steam roll the playoffs once edelgoat and dola come back

The problem right now is that bradys release time has doubled without them. Only team that scares me is in the NFC the cards. Their trio of receivers might light us up. Butler should be able to take one out then Ryan with safety help but other then that im scared what might happen. Maybe Chung can step up to the plate and lock someone down. Pats will win on a last min drive by Brady is my prediction 100%

When Brady had to do that, twice it ended in a game-winning FG, then the fail mary, and then the incompletion to Murderman.
I hate to side with the haters on this, but it's true that Brady has never led a SB-winning drive, on the last drive, with him on the field (you might call it the ultimate GWD/4QC).

Yes, he had the comeback vs. the Hawks, but that was almost erased by the slimmest of margins and miracles and I really, REALLY doubt he or any of the receivers could have smoked that Seattle secondary in 20 or so seconds, if Seattle had scored.

But in the end, I'm happy the way SBs 36, 38, 39 and 49 turned out.

pls no bully. I just get cynical when people make a prediction like that when they went through the heartbreak of SBs 42 & 46.

Belichick supposedly like to play games close (or run up the score when it's safe to), but there have been so many close calls when it comes to the six Super Bowls he's gone to with the Pats that they could have been 0-6 under him. Meanwhile they have no problem beating the crap out of lesser playoff teams, but when your team has had two historic SB losses by 4 points or less using that same "play it close" strategy, it's kind of depressing to think about.

>but there have been so many close calls when it comes to the six Super Bowls he's gone to with the Pats that they could have been 0-6 under him
shoulda coulda woulda

But I do agree last drives (in the technicality you are filing them under) have been full retard for us.

But don't you think it speaks to what those offenses were about?

2007 was "LOL CHUCK IT TO MOSS" and it worked 95% of the time but that was the 5% of the time it didn't.
2011 it was "SPREAD IT DEEP TO THE TEs" which didn't work in the same way 07 didn't.

But those offenses were reliant on the talent of the receiver/TE to make a big play

The offense is a bit more diverse now, and BB has learned by now that reliance on a talent tends to backfire. Josh probably hasn't learned this since 2011 because he is a complete idiot, and 07 O'Brien is with the Toxins

Things are different now.

They've matured.

The seahawks drives are the most telling

Brady understood he just needed to drive down the field in the most efficient ways possible.

And thus he did.

Nah, Hue was a fine HC. The 2011 team falling apart happened because Jason Campbell blew out his shoulder. The fact they made 8-8 is a miracle in itself.

He should never be trusted with personnel decisions though. The Carson Palmer trade put the Raiders back a minimum of a year in the post-Al rebuild.

Some of the moves made and continue to make sense
Getting rid of bums like Williams, Fletcher, Allen, Matthews
Moving on from declining or ineffective players like Cole, Herremans, Casey

The defense needs to shift to a 4-3 and have a DC that knows what to actually fucking do, but Chip is set on the 3-4

The combo of Murray and Mathews is actually more effective than McCoy last year or this year, but Chip is mishandling them.

It took balls to move Jackson and McCoy, which financially make some sense. Kilo has a future if he bounces back from injury better, but the lack of offensive talent hurts and the future doesn't seem.better with Kelly in that regard.

His first picks in each draft are: Lane Johnson, Marcus Smith, Nelson Agholor (solid, bust, mediocre). Missed pro bowlers too.

It was time for a GM change to stabilize things. This could also be a way to handle the Bradford situation better. Maybe Bradford would have gone elsewhere to.avoid Chip. Or maybe Chip was gonna bring him back but no one else wants him. Who knows?

There's still a difference between real fans and shitposters. There's also a difference between shitposting and real opinions.

top quality post, m8. I'll still hate Corey Webster for the rest of my life, but you've brightened my day.

that's what I'm afraid of, too. I honestly hope he wins the Owl and then retire on top like Elway, but I doubt he will.

Brady needs to work on his personal branding. Sure, you can see its a TB on his hat, but it also looks like 13 a little. If he could combined TB and 12, that hat would be sick.
