Yellow = GOAT Northeast teams

Why do the playoffs necessarily have to be the "Conference Quarterfinals" or whatever? Whoever wins the semifinals would win the Wales/Campbell. The playoffs could be set up geographically, which wuld vary ebery year depending on who makes it. It would either wreck the playoffs or make them that much more exciting since you won't be playing the same approximately 5 teams every year in the playoffs in the first two rounds.
Also the Original Six division would almost be too fucking nuts to say no to this.
Would be weird seeing an Eastern team win the Campbell or a Western team win the Prince of Wales though...

Quebec, Seattle, and Vegas are the top three contenders, which honestly wouldn't change things too much
you have colorado moving to the "red" division with the addition of Seattle/Vegas, and Quebec just gets added to the "blue" division.
An argument can be made for Buffalo being in the "blue" division if Quebec doesn't get an expansion team, which could allow Detroit to move to "purple"
