Jordan's help. Wow.
1. Scottie Pippen
The 2nd best perimeter player of the 90's. Arguably the best perimeter defender of all time.

2. Dennis Rodman
The best rebounder of all time and one of the mos versatile defenders of all time. He put up seasons of 14.9 rpg, 16.1 rpg, and 15.0 rpg in his seasons with the Bulls.

3. Horace Grant
Played with the Bulls for 7 seasons until 93-94. The epitome of a perfect role player. Was a consistent player with a deady midrange jumper and outstanding defense. Peaked in his final Chicago season with outstanding averages of 15.1 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.2 bpg on 52%.

4. Toni Kukoc
Came in right after Horace left. Played with the Bulls from 93-94 up through Jordan's retirement. A lefty, solid playmaker, and smooth handles. What else would you expect out of another of Jordan's superstar teammates? Came over already established and in his prime at the age of 25. In his 2nd season with the Bulls he put up a cool 15.7 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 4.6 apg, 1.3 spg on 50%.

5. Charles Oakley
He played with Jordan before he learned how to collect and utilize talent amazingly (while berating it needlessly). They had a stint together in the 87-88 season where the Oak Tree dropped a more than respectable 12.4 ppg, 13.0 rpg, and 3.0 dimes. All while being a tree.

6. BJ Armstrong
A steadfast point guard that was reliable. Beyond reliable in reality - a great running mate. Stuck it out on the Bulls from 89-95. Learned the game (while being a great bench player) his first three years with good numbers. Peaked at the right time as a starter in the 93-94 season with a solid and efficient scoring line of 14.8 ppg, 3.9 apg on 48%, 44%, 86%

7. Ron Harper
Was a stat stuffer. Came to the Bulls to become a winner and increase their already league leading talent pool. What'd he drop the year before he joined the Bulls? An inspired 20.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.6 apg, 1.9 spg
Has there ever been such a loaded roster as the ones Jordan enjoyed?

Early 2000s Shaq's Lakers.

Barkley and Ewing didn't have a supporting cast to sneeze at either, bruv.

Kevin FRICKING Johnson, Ainge, Chambers. Hell, Ceballos if you want to stretch it. The Knicks with Anthony, Mason, even Oakley.

But does that reflect just how high above the heads and shoulders you had to be to actually be a superstar or does that reflect that they all needed "help". Any one of those names could be an All-NBA contender today.

Probably the only reasonable 'one-man team' was probably Hakeem's, and he had Big Shot Rob and Otis Thorpe on his shoulders. What's this meant to be about, anyway?

They were only good because Jordan made them better. He elevated their play through his GOAT aura.

You're right OP, Curry is the true GOAT.

1a) David Stern. Came to the realization that if a player wasn't good enough to win on his own then he could change the game to fit that player's talents. This and further propaganda hyping MJ as the 'GOAT' without any sort of logical explanation made the league billions and MJ continues to be one of the most marketable entities for the NBA.
1b) Nike also made and continues to make billions on the false claim that MJ is the GOAT even though he was more or less a capsized turtle during the 80s when he was 'learning how to win' a.k.a. waiting for Stern to bail him out, great teams to grow old and expansion watering down the league.
2)Scottie Pippen. apparently a 'Robin' to MJ's 'Batman'. MJ's Bulls were God awful until 'Batman' was bailed out by 'Robin' (isn't that supposed to be the other way around?). Also managed 55wins the year after the 'goat' retired to play baseball. This is a statistical anomaly: any team that has ever lost a prime HoFamer without replacing him has suffered immensely. The Bulls barely lost a stride.
>Rodzilla/Ho Grant. Ho Grant is extremely underrated, he was so valuable that when he departed for Orlando they won the East over MJ's Bulls. When he was upgraded by arguably the greatest defender ever this allowed the Bulls TEAM to once again resume business as usual.
Jordan is not even a top 10 player of all time. Magic's first year he won a title. Larry Bird's first year he lead his team to the best record in the NBA (no Chief or McHale) and the Eastern Conference Finals. He's an overrated bald charlatan and the bitterness he carries to this day shows deep down he knows he's a fraud.
>>
>not mentioning Steve Kerr who is one of the greatest basketball minds of all time who won a Championship in his first year as a head coach
>>
Aside from Rodman and pippin the rest are quintessential role players. They happened to be well coached and professional minded, but role players nonetheless. Nostalgia seems to blind people and they make bench warmers into heroes

only grandpas say jordan is goat and not curry

Yeah, Jordan is the one that's bitter, isn't he?

I love how teenagers who never watched the Bulls play like to play armchair historian and claim Jordan wasn't the undisputed GOAT. Had you actually witnessed those seasons at a competent age you would realize that it doesnt matter who was around him or whether he had "help."
