I used to love the NFL but as I get older I don't care about it nearly as much. I don't find myself able to relate to it so it's hard to care. Constant chimpouts and dirty plays have been around for a long time, but I guess it just kinda feels like watching cock fighting or some shit...and I have no interest in that either.
Plus there's no rhythm to games at all. Constant reviews, injury timeouts, commercial breaks and all that shit makes it hard to watch on tv.
In person it's a stadium full of drunken idiots looking to fight and stab each other, or trying to make it impossible for an opposing fan to enjoy the game.
Following online you're bombarded with 30 second ads that play before 5 second highlight vids.
It's just a huge cash cow that's lost me.

I couldn't have wrote that any better. I pity people over 30 who still watch this garbage religiously. I haven't watched a game in at least 5 years. I have found better things to do on Sundays to occupy my time. When I think back, I can't believe I wasted hours upon hours watching it.
