No, because winning the return fixture isn't guaranteed. Nor is other teams around you fucking up. That loss could mean the difference between 2nd and 1st.
In the CL, you're also at the mercy of the draw. I doubt Chelsea or Arsenal fans are happy at being drawn the same teams year in year out.
EPL is harder as it means constant performance and slipping up on a bad day can mean the difference, you can make it up, but it's reliant on other teams fucking up too. Which is why this season is so close and a surprise.
CL can be won simply by drawing easy teams, other teams KOing difficult teams by playing well that day, or by teams having bad days. There is a reason Barca and Madrid win a lot of CL, it's because the La Liga is easier and they're going to win it, it'll be between those two.
EPL isn't like that. As I said 38 games that you need to keep winning. Liverpool haven't been in the CL regularly for a long time, thus in general, winning FA, LC or EPL should be easier. They still haven't.
