We're honestly kind of already there. Like, this year was theoretically supposed to be an improvement, but instead we're just shit. Turns out trying to play Jah and Noel at the same time is less a trainwreck and more a burning orphanage on Christmas Eve; who knew?
Anyway, this'll be the last year. Sixers have 3-4 incoming 1st round picks this year, Dario Saric will finally be coming over from Turkey, and Joel Embiid's got one more chance to at least get on the court and show some marginal value.
Either the team takes a leap next season, or the entire front office is jettisoned and the team is relaunched.

The Sixers by their own admission aren't trying to put together a good team. They're trying to tank for a generational level player (ala Duncan, Kobe etc.). Anything that happens until then is just secondary since so far they've only drafted good players, maybe All-Star players in the future, but nothing like what they're aiming for.

To be fair, Joel Embiid is likely a generational talent. It's just a matter if he can actually stay healthy.

Embiid is a dumb shit that never wanted to play for the Sixers. There's no way they can facilitate him, Noel and Okafor. Maybe Hinkie can gamble again and trade Okafor for a decent PG and some picks this summer, given that they get Simmons in the draft. Random PG-Covington-Simmons-Noel-Embiid wouldn't be awful and they'd have a fuck load of cap space.

My bold prediction is that the 76ers will draft one player in the 2016 draft for every win they get this season.
Either they get Simmons, maybe Ingram, and spend on the FA next season or Hinkie will get fired and they'll spend on FA without having a franchise player and become a 8th seed team
