Bergeron is the better player. Their stats are very similar plus Bergeron had whatever amount of concussions. I know both only have 2 30 goal seasons, and both teams can suck my dick, but Bergeron means way more to his team and the Hawks have been way, way better than the Bruins offensively since toews has been with them, and in the first season Claude Julien has let the Bruins actually play hockey, Bergeron is producing slightly above Toews while playing with a guy who has never played above 4th line minutes in the NHL and being double shifted on the PK.

If you're an at all decent player and can win a playoff series, you've got it made in Toronto.
You can literally lead the team to only playoff series wins and no Cups, and still be immortalized, beloved and absolutely worshipped. Gilmour, Clark, Sundin, etc., didn't win anything but series, the farthest any of them got was Conference Finals, and yet they're pretty much gods in the city.
Gilmour and Clark STILL live off the spoils of those playoff series. They both still get endorsements, paid speaking engagements, can open a mediocre restaurant/bar and still have it take off, etc. Sundin isn't as interested in that stuff, but it'd be the same for him. He doesn't live in Toronto primarily, though he still has a home here.
