If the prelim matches we've seen so far are anything to go by, the PDC's expansion should be focused firmly on continental Europe and Rod's often lauded Youth Tour.
As fun as it is to see the likes of Thanawat "I Can't Score For Shit" Gaweenuntawong and Qiang "Hit The Surround Not The Board" Sun, they really shouldn't be in the big thing. Those performances should only be seen in the one event where they're accepted: the World Cup.
It's the likes of René this year and Cristo last year that we should be seeing in the preliminaries more and more often. Not Asians who make Andy Smith look like MVG nor past-it Eurojobbers like Per Laursen or delusional no-hopers like Andy Boulton who just job to fuck.
Hopefully this afternoon's prelim will be a higher standard than the three we've seen so far.

Ian White is so hit and miss
Again did 10 legs on my own, worked out slightly better than yesterday. Would have been better, but I bottled the final 2 legs. Bad things: 5 tons in 10 legs sucks, should be about twice as much. Also, the best leg at 27 is not good enough, that should be around 22-24. Good thing: 6 out of 10 legs were 33 darts or lower, that's ok for me. If you are over 35, it usually doesn't matter anyway if you get 36 or 60, because you will lose anyway.

I play regularly since about one year, so for me, this is only a little below of what I usually play. The highest aveg I ever managed to play in this exercise is 54. The main reason for that is that there is always that one leg where you make a crucial miss and leave yourself 5 oder 3, and then you can watch your once-proud average decreasing throw by throw.

You should also mix things up by throwing from 170 and games like 121 for the finishing. Far more important training then just throwing legs from 501. In lower leagues you can win many matches by just throwing the doubles in 1-6 darts.
