There's zero money in the Irish leagues, even compared to the likes of Australia and Scotland, so their young players jump ship as soon as they can.
I support my local non league team, 7th tier. We had a player who was good but not our best, was signed by an Irish Premiership team and started most games. THAT'S the level of finances they have.
