meh I didn't keep track of them. I was just going under the assumption they ended on a tie. But you're right.

Actually looking at the numbers now though I have to wonder how the broncos are going to finish up. I can't see them losing out but I don't see them winning out either. So who do they lose to? Steelers is a good bet for a loss. Likely beat the chargers.

Will they lose to the bengals? Who are they going with at QB? I heard they brought tebow in to practice... this is a real wild card game here

What coach can fix the Titans?

It'd be good if we good blame it on poor game planning but Jason Michaels and Mularkey put up good schemes and plans that are implementable and playable, the personnel simply can't put that into fruition though

Is there any actual coaches that can change the Titans fortune or any general managers that can do a perfect draft
>>
>>64257285
>WR opposite Julio (assuming we get rid of Shannahan soon, he only ever uses one WR)
I'm thinking 2nd round. Tyler Boyd is one of my favorites.

>Interior OL
These should be FA acquisitions, we need to actually invest in the OL with money. OL is tough to scout for the draft anyways.

>DE / pass rusher (opposite of Beasley)
1st round. Shaq Lawson and Shane Floyd are a couple I'm hoping for. Beasley is the "Leo" but the Leo only gets free if the other linemen are occupied.

>LB
Just draft someone athletic. Quinn's scheme works but it's best for linebackers with range. I think it may be time to put Worrilow into a more limited role.

>DL
Hageman and Jarrett show promise. Soliai is worth keeping. The rest need to go.

Hire whoever is all about Marcus. West Coast game with bootlegs, short timing passes and zone runs. The future of the team rests with Mariota.

I could honestly see Mike Smith coming back to coach the Titans. It could work, he's a pretty good coach in retrospect.
>>
>>64257512
That's mostly because run game and wide receivers dropping passes which makes me wonder is it a coaching problem or a personnel problem. Do you toss a coach for a bad roster or the GM for a shit team?

>zone runs

I don't think that'd suit Mariota well, Mariota seems to be happy throwing in the pocket vs running. Plus there's no need risking a passer when he can throw perfectly fine. Don't let his 62% fool you, it should be somewhere around 65-70% completion but players like DGB and Harry Douglas have dropped 50% of their passes.

I've been thinking Art Briles or Sean Mcdermott, I'm not bought on Hue Jackson though

i'm sure that dropoff has nothing to do with the fact that this year is probably one of the least talented offenses since rodgers arrived

and i'm sure that playing a horrendous dallas defense that you can spam runs against because they're so terrible and undermanned didn't contribute to the best statistical performance in a while

and i'm sure mccarthy resumed calling plays because he was so desperately needed against dallas, not because he saw an opportunity to run the fuck out of the ball while looking good

loss of jordy+lacy's regression+o-line taking steps back= much worse than last year regardless of playcalling
you can argue that the playcalling is making the run game terrible but that's just not true
dallas is 18th in yards allowed and has given up the 4th most touchdowns in the league so idk what you're on about
they've also given up 91 rushing first downs, more than the chargers or saints and only better than miami or san francisco (they've also allowed the second-fewest passing first downs, so clearly teams know to run on them)
mccarthy may well be a decent coach, but calling a lot of runs against the cowboys doesn't really show that at all

the jets are doing historically well at defending the the run

they're currently allowing just below 79 rush yards per game and have only allowed 2 touchdowns this year so far
if they can keep the cowboys, patriots, and bills out of the endzone they'll own the record for fewest rushing touchdowns allowed in a season

the record for fewest rushing yards allowed in a season is already out of reach (fucking 970 by the 00 ravens), but they're on pace to only allow 1264 rushing yards, something only 25 other teams have ever accomplished, and none with fewer than 3 touchdowns allowed

to be fair he's 5th in total receptions, 9th in total yards, and has converted the 6th most first downs with dead arm peypey and greener-than-grass brock as his QBs
he just hasn't been able to get into the endzone like he's done in past years, but that's more of a function of the team as a whole only throwing for 14 total touchdowns, aka what joe flacco did in 10 games with no weapons on a first overall pick contender
and of course there's the small matter of him leading the league in drops again for the second consecutive year

Roethlisberger, but Eli gets a huge boost from upsetting the Pats twice in the Owl.
The first time he "won" SB MVP, Ben sucked, but he is obviously a much better QB all around.
As for Rivers, he's kind of like the Ken Anderson type who's stuck with the same team forever, and had one or two shots at winning it all only to fall because the other team was just much better (Anderson vs. the Niners Owl) or flat-out choking (2006 vs. the Pats, divisional I think)

as a player, he will definitely be one of the worst HoF selections. but he has the accomplishments, and fair enough stats to make it. I've heard a lot of Jim Plunkett accomplishments, but regardless of how momentous >18-1 was or how he should have lost SB46 too he'll get credit for both wins in the end, and that will be the deciding factor.

Positives:
>Bradford over Foles
>Ryan Matthews signing
>Walter Thurmond signing
>Resigning Brandon Graham and Cedric Thornton
>Drafting Jordan Hicks and Eric Rowe
>Looking to the future while trading for Kiko Alonso
Negatives:
>Giving Maxwell that much money
>Not resigning Maclin (this was sort of out of his hands i suppose but he could have offered more money)
>Signing Murray
>Paying Murray that much
>Giving up a pick for Bradford
>Not resigning Mathis
>Not drafting any linemen
>Drafting Nelson Agholor in the first round
>>Cutting Tim Tebow from the practice squad
>>>>>NOT TRADING UP FOR MARIOTA
overall i'd say there's a lot on both sides
a solid C does the trick
also someone should shoop chip and marioto onto this baby
>>
>>64260177
Brees yes, unless he retires. Peyton no, he gets traded to the colts for a 1st. Him and Irsay become best party buddies.
>>
>>64260530
why would letting Maclin go be a positive? because Bradford can't throw beyond 15 yards?
>>
>>64260177
>>64260543
will the Saints turn to poo again once Brees retires?
>>
>>64260552
When you consider everything that has happened, it was a bad move. But when looking at Maclin situation in isolation, I don't think he was worth the money the Chiefs gave him.

I think how he dealt with the WR situation after letting Maclin go was much more of a problem than not resigning Maclin
>>
>>64260586
They are already shit and he is still there. Once he is gone the bags will be back on their heads as they return to obscurity for the next 30 years.
>>
>>64260400
I was thinking about that. They might have meant it was his most skillful since he shot the gap and broke a few tackles to make the touchdown, while the long run last season was mostly him just outrunning everyone else
>>
How do you fix the browns? I've tried starting a meme quarterback and ran a meme offense and they went 9-7
>>
>>64260586
it'll be even worse than now
every game the saints have won this year, with the exception of the game where ingram went ham on the colts "run defense", brees threw for 30 completions and 300 yards
and he's putting up jimmy graham and marques colston numbers with willlie snead and ben watson
>>64260632
i remember him breaking someone's ankles hard on either that run or another one last year
i used to have the webm but now i can't find it
>>
>>64260637
>How do you fix the browns?
burn everything to the ground and move them to Baltimore. It's the only solution that has worked so far
>>
>>64260637
Move and rename them. The Browns name is cursed.

maclin is good, but he wanted to play for reid again and for lots of money. i can't fault kelly on that
signing murray was a bad move. maybe kelly can keep rotating them in to make murray compete
Bradford might work out.
meh
i'll debate it later.
>>64260637
throw all the rest of the games. get the first overall. See which big FA actually enters it. Draft Bosa. Draft a qb second round or trade up back to first for a guy who drops. Play manziel see ifhe can play

>>64260724
yeah i'd have loved to have kept him, but that one was mostly out of chip's hands
it's nice that he's having a good year though
murray was a bad move to begin with because chip refused to address the line at all, and then he made it worse by using him retardedly
i just hope we can eat the money we paid until we can let him go and wash our hands of him
bradford i'm still pretty much divided on, but i'm more receptive to going into next season with him as the starter than i was before
i don't think you can give the offseason a terrible grade, but you can't give it a great one either

depends on your criteria i guess
ben has been the better QB stats-wise and plays on the NFL's favorite franchise, plus two super bowls and elite passing seasons late in his career
but he's tentatively a rapist and might be perceived as a defense babby early in his career
eli has worse stats, but he has the manning prestige, the two super bowls and super bowl MVPs and their massive significance, and he's pretty well-liked

Get Bosa and WR in the draft. Keep Manziel, give him a chance to develop and give him a better weapon than Travis Benjamin. DBs from FA.

Hope Roethlisberger retires soon and the Bungles bungle.

The baseball HoF voters are obviously using the good faith clause as a cop-out for not letting hitters from the 90s in right now for the most part. How much should off-field stuff matter?

Guys like Darren Sharper may be disgusting people, but if they are worthy, shouldn't that merit a Hall induction? Especially when you can't really "un-induct" guys like OJ, who (most likely) killed Nicole and Ronald after he'd been in the Hall a while.

His passer rating over that stretch is 145.9, the best four-game run for a quarterback with at least 100 pass attempts since at least 1960, and probably ever"
