I've seen Wilson run the ball and he runs it tight and fast and slides well before any harm comes his way and it doesn't matter because he's already made the distance he needs
then i see brady do that trick plays and he runs like a nerd on first day of track meet, not fast and runs out well before any potential harm comes close
... and then you see Cam's run from last weeks game, he fucking runs up the side he's got two guys coming at him and instead of stepping out of bounds, instead of sliding, he tries to do some tricky feet step and then barrels headfirst into one of the guys coming at him, granted he did go further than if he had stepped out or took a slide but he has no fear.
